Please don't shoot me if there is an existing thread! I searched and only found US ones, I scrolled a few pages here and didn't see one :)

I'd love to arrange or take part in something in Manchester on Sat 21st or Sun 22nd April. Is anyone planning anything? Does anyone know of any fairs/markets happening that weekend?

I'm going to do some serious research tonight, and have emailed the Manchester Markets people re: Chorlton market, but if anyone has any ideas or tips I'd really appreciate it :)

Yep, there's going to be one in Glasgow on the 28th that I said I'd help out with.

I know where I'll be on the 28th. Too bad I can't contribute (I know I won't have my new cooker by then).

Actually, don't you have a cupcake-carrier, Rachell? If by some crazy random happenstance you are round these parts prior to then, might I get a wee lend? No worries if not though, I think I have some boxes kicking around! Or I just might make traybakes and cookies!

Ooh, yes, I do, and it's just sitting around gathering dust! I also have some old chocolate/biscuit tins that are big enough to hold cookies and/or muffins/cupcakes. I'm not sure if I can get to Glasgow twice next month, but I could get there early on the day and help out (thus bringing my carrier before you have to transport things). Let me know details and I'll see what I can do.

Looks like Glasgow is all in order :D

Anyone here in Greater Manchester? Or Glasgow folks, any tips on finding a venue? It's frustratingly difficult to find out "what's on" in Manchester as sites such as City Life and Manchester Confidential seem to focus mostly on restaurants/bars/cinemas/beauty, etc. Or maybe I am looking in all the wrong places :)

So if we are able to contibute to the Glasgow one, would we email the smashingtarts address that was listed on this website?
Interrobang, do you know if they still need people/have space for cake? (I don't remember Lush having all that much space! I suppose if they moved some of the soaps for the day it would be better.)

Ohhh I would love it but it's right before payday. Silly retail wage.

I've actually booked holiday for the West Lancs Vegan Fair!

- Not sure if she is / you are alredy here under a different name, but Cottage Cupcakes in Manchester is interested in organizing a vegan bake sale for the WVBS; here is the Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/cccvegancakeco. I also told her about this thread.

- This may help; lots of tips on finding locations and bake sales in general: http://www.veganbakesale.org/veganbakes ... -tips.html

- Ms. Cupcake is having a vegan bake sale in London. For a listing of all UK bake sales in the WVBS, go to http://www.veganbakesale.org/veganbakes ... where.html and scroll down to the country, e.g., England or Scotland.

Hope this helps!

I think there's a bake sale going on at Arc Cafe in Bristol, if anyone in the south west area is interested in a bake sale. I'm probably going to go, is anyone else near Bristol planning to go?
