Just watched the episode "The Thing with Feathers" and have to say, I am still not too impressed by the show, but it's still moderately watchable, so we watch it on Tivo...

BUT...I wanted to say this episode had a few things that I liked:
1. There's a scene in the supermarket where a human cat creature is stalking the main character. This scene is shot just like that sneaky cat or ninja cat youtube, where every time the camera pans away, the cat is closer and closer. Great youtube video and a cute scene in this episode.

2. The victim character is a bird creature that is fed by gavage with a pump, which is essentially foie gras production. These scenes are horrifying and you feel terrible for the bird creature (who eventually produces a golden egg, so she's a golden goose of sorts). It would make a good anti-foie gras PSA.

3. One of the regular characters ate a paperclip like it was nothing. This was a side effect from something that happened in a previous episode.

I'm still into it! I think it's getting more interested. It's a newish show, so it seems like it's still growing into itself.

The local alt paper summed it up for me.. "If Grimm were to kill off Nick and just make the show about Rosalee and Monroe, I wouldn't raise any objections."

Adding that new relationship was a smart move.

Kind of agreed. I just love Monroe.

I agree - Monroe and Rosalee are good characters. Monroe has always been more interesting than Nick.

Also as a side note - I volunteer at the Nikkei Museum right next door where they film the Tea Shop scenes!

so there was a new episode on friday? my DVR apparently decided not to record it, boo.

It's true! But Nick is pleasing to my eyes so I don't mind him.

blue, i don't know about you but my DVR has friday exhaustion - grimm, supernatural, fringe, fairly legal, in plain sight. oy.

I still love it too, and I feel like it's been getting stronger all season.

I guess I'm the only one who doesn't like Rosalee, however if this were to become the Monroe show, I wouldn't complain. He's by far my most favorite character. I am surprised that Juliet has lasted this long, though. I figured she'd be out by episode 6 or 7.

This is like the show that never dies! Every week we are shocked to find a new episode coming on. But we really like it, so it's all good to us.

grimm's second season starts tonight already! that really snuck up on me.

I know! Im excited, but Im not watching it tonight. I'll see it on demand Friday or Saturday. Is it going to be on Mondays from now on?

I didn't know either. Someone JUST posted about it on Facebook. Glad I caught it in time to set the DVR.

NBC has been playing commercials throughout the Olympics. Not happy about the Monday night change. Grimm was our Friday night ritual!

yeah it makes me mad when they change days and times - it's like they're trying to lose people

I was kind of bored. They're giving us too much information verbally that I'm never going to remember. I hope it's not important later.

Of course it will be! Ya know, so 6 season later you are scratching your head and thinking wait, am I missing something? That way you will want to watch it again from the beginning and hopefully buy the dvd's!

i definitely would have benefited from a "previously on grimm..." to kick things off. i felt a little discombobulated for awhile there.

me too! especially about mary elizabeth. i was all "who the fork is she and where did she come from?" also, did we know nick really had the coins? i feel like i didn't know that.
