Have you guys heard about Vge yet? It's opening in a few weeks. Vegan sandwiches, soups & salads. The menu is going to have a vegan tuna melt, vegan mac & cheese, baked falafel, a homemade veggie burger, and some other exciting stuff. http://www.vgecafe.com/

No I meant annoyed at not being able to find a phone number. Obviously they should take the time they need to prepare! How exactly is a soft opening different from a regular opening?

A soft opening isn't promoted like a grand opening.

A little on the slow side, from what I've heard. I'm at HipCity now, but I wish everyone at Vge all the best! (I had to leave Vge--conflict of interest working for both)

I went here tonight with my parents and we loveeeed it. Even my dad who hated Horizons (I know) loved it. He said the lentil burger was the best veggie burger he's ever had. That's huge. Also they have Vegan Treats. The guy Fernando is so so nice. Everyone go!

I went yesterday and it's SO much better than I had hoped. The banh mi sandwich is amazing, and the chocolate cake is also delicious. So happy to have a vegan cafe on the Main Line!

I'm so glad you guys went and also liked it! Yay! I had the bahn mi and the Moqueca soup too and loved them. But the cream of kale soup is phenomenal.

I went there twice last weekend after anticipating an opening for months. Finally I have a place near Villanova where I can eat.
The lentil burger was surprising delicious and the black bean soup was excellent as well. I wanted to try the Wild Mushroom Brazilian Moqueca soup but there were sold out of it.

Hopefully I will be able to check it out/add it to the Su Tao/Sprig&Vine rotation.

The closest is the Bryn Mawr stop on regional rail Paoli line. There is also a Bryan Mawr stop on the Norristown high speed line that is within a mile of the place.

I went this past weekend. I had the Vge steak and cream of kale soup. I liked them both and plan on going back. I'm excited about this place. It's a lot easier than going into the city for me.

My boyfriend and I have been there twice now, and really liked it both times. The first time we got the banh mi sandwich, the BBQ seitan sandwich, the kale soup and the carrot-ginger soup. The sandwiches were very good- nicely flavored and the bread was really nice multi-grain seedy bread. The kale soup was good but I probably wouldn't get it again. The real star was the carrot-ginger soup which had a really nice flavor.
The second time we went I had the lentil burger with cheese (the guy said they used to offer cheese as the default on the burger but some people didn't like it so they made it optional. I think it was Daiya). The burger had sauteed greens on it which was a nice change from the usual lettuce on a burger. BF had the falafel salad- I just had a bite of it but it was really good.
I was happy to see that there were other people there both times we went, so I hope they're doing well!
