Thought we could just have a thread just to let one another know whats new on the market :)
Today I found redwoods 'Salmon style slices' in holland and barrett! Cant wait to give them a try, they seem lower in calories than the other slices too, I think because konjac is one of the ingredients in there. (The stuff they make 'miracle noodles' out of) Stumbled over to tesco after and picked up some of the dairy free cream cheese too so i can have fancy cream cheese and salmon sarnies :)
I also got a Choices white chocolate easter egg from H&B I've tried vegan white chocolate before (bar form) but wasnt impressed as it was not as melty as i remember, no matter how much i warmed it up prior to eating!(still had that 'cold chocolate' type bite... eh :/) Lets hope this one is nice :)

Sounds gross!
Morrisons used to sell free from millionaires, but it was only GF - not DF. Have they changed the recipe?

It's rank, I only buy it when I'm desperate for something sweet and can't find anything else I fancy. The chocolate layer always falls off and the caramel is really hard and funny tasting, almost reminds me of a Caramac. The Lazy Days one is far superior and I'll go out of my way to get it if I have a Millionaires shortbread craving. And Mr. Flibble, as far as I can tell there's no dairy in them anymore.

Faux Salmon sounds rank. I don't think I'll be trying that.

Well actually, it's not rank. Having the salmon now on a sandwich with cucumber, cream cheese and a squeeze of lemon. I like it. It's really smokey and the texture is lighter (more delicate?) than the other redwoods slices. It's not fishy really in my opinion, but lovely and smokey. Most definitely buying again.

when i was an omni i looooved fish. my family had (and still have) a tradition of serving smoked salmon with cream cheese & bagels for celebratory brunches, so i might see if i can find these and try them for old times' sake. where did you find yours?

I was never a huge fan of fish when I was omni but I crave it like a bisque since I gave up meat. Ever since I've been on a mission. Never really wowed by kelp flavoured homemade stuff. But you can get the redwood salmon slices from Holland and barrett :) Anddddd I highly recommend... http://www.veggie-world.com/OnlineShopI got the shrimp and crabsticks from here and seriously seriously impressed me. It wasnt like.. seaweed flavoured kinda imitation stuff but like... Genuinly flavoured right. The crabsticks could have fooled an omni. And I got the salmon from there too. Alas it didnt last long.

Hale & Hearty have a Date & Chocolate Flapjack (labelled as vegan) which seems to be a new addition at my local Tesco. I found them in the Free From aisle. They are tasty, a good size for a packed lunch too.

I'd love to go there but it's just too ridiculously out of the way for me to go there just for a meal. And I'm gonna be honest and throw this one out there...I've done the sweet and sour chikin' balls recipe off your blog like a million times, which seems to satisfy such cravings in the mean time, ha ...

One is a fish cake, the other a triangular breaded thing (which is a bit fishier and my preferred of the two).

I think they told me at Brighton VegFest that they were bringing out something cod-like that could be subbed in fish dishes (including the fish dishes at the sushi place we went to, the name of which escapes me now).
