Thinking about going to see Regina Spektor, but I've spent way too much money on other stuff lately. Maybe I'll get lucky and win tickets like last time she came around.

Good ol' Radiohead in November. It's my one "big splurge" ticket this year, and I found out so last-minute I didn't even bother to ask around... So I'll have a nice time on my own, just me and the music and several thousand strangers. :-)

I just found out that I won two tickets to see Sleigh Bells at the House of Blues in Atlantic City!! And we get to meet the band before the show!! So freaking excited right now!
Last year we had tickets to see them but couldn't go to the show. So this is awesome. Just goes to show you that Facebook is good for something.

I haven't been to a concert in for-freaking-ever. That being said . . . prepare for my infinite coolness . . . Saturday . . . The Spin Doctors. Oh yeah.

paprikapapaya wrote: Going to Montreal in June to see RADIOHEAD STOKEDSTOKEDSTOKED I'm seeing them in Sydney in November. Beside myself. Damn, their tickets went on sale a long way in advance — 1st March, I think...? In contrast: I'm seeing Prince in Sydney in less than three weeks, and tickets only went on sale a couple of weeks ago! I'm not the hugest fan, but I love most of his better-known songs and appreciate the musicianship, longevity of his career etc. Read an amazing review of his Toronto show from late 2011. Should be fantastic. And these are the two reasons I can't afford to go to much else for the whole year. :-)

I'd like to go see Behemoth in a couple days, but it's kind of expensive and I'm not as into them as I was a few years ago. I also imagine it'll be really crowded, which makes me ragey.
Undecided.

Going to see Dylan Carlson of "Earth" in a couple of weeks. My sister's band is supporting. Neat.

baps wrote: I think I am the most unhip person on the PPK, because I haven't heard of most of these bands. That and I just booked tickets to see Nickelback. BAHAHAHA. I'm glad someone else mentioned them before I did! My girlfriends and I always make plans to see them when they tour for some reason. I think it's because it's the only band we can agree on enjoying. Last band I went to with a friend she just got drunk and didn't remember the concert because she didn't like them. I'm still debating on Pink Martini. I've always wanted to go watch them, but if the weather is nice I could just go listen for free in the park next to the ampetheater.

Looks like I'm going to Download Festival. Not entirely sure where I'm going to scrape the 200 quid together from but the tickets are being booked. I have an eclectic taste in music but the bands I'm most excited about are Rise Against, Reckless Love, Tenacious D, Steel Panther, The Prodigy, Black Sabbath, Metallica, and Black Veil Brides.
