I am in love with this book, I want to get it and that's saying something, 'cuz I have quite the Pan Indian collection already. Just made some chickpeas with a spicy coconut sauce over brown rice n peas and it is hoozah good.

I've had great success with this cookbook recently, so I thought I would revive the thread.

Some of my favourites so far:

- Sesame-Flavoured Blend with Peanuts and Coconut (Maharashtrian Garam Masala) ***so good~
- Avocado Chutney
- Roulade of Collard Leaves with a Tomato-Mustard Sauce (perfect for impressing people at a party)
- Cumin-Scented Pigeon Peas with Mango (it uses the above garam masala and is to-die-for!)
- Plantains and Cabbage with Pigeon Peas (so good!!)
- Toasted Split Green Lentils with Spinach (like the spices in here)

Hmm, well now I think I've got to get myself some pigeon peas! I want to try that mango one you mentioned with the garam masala. Sounds amazing.

You won't be disappointed! :)
Let me know what you think... you don't need to use fancy mangoes in it because they dissolve.. just like the Mango BBQ Beans in AFR

After I mentioned reading about this here, my omni sweetheart (who is nuts for curries and wants to eat less cheese) surprised me (the house cook) with the book (say hello to Cheeseless Tuesday!).

We've both loved everything I've made so far, and I've finally managed to make a perfect pot of rice by following the instructions for zarda chaawal - something I thought was impossible for me. The makhani dal recipe is my favorite variation on the dal makhani theme to date (I used coconut milk and coconut yoghurt).

For the record I haven't made the garlic and ginger purees, I just prep them as I cook.

So yeah. Thank you for bringing 660 Curries into my life! :D
