Hmmm...looking at HappyCow, I'm not seeing anything that really catches my fancy. We can meet pretty much anywhere. Heck, I'd be happy with Maoz.

Golden Temple is p.reasonable given bang vs buck. or MKZ is unbeatable value if you're doing it on Tues-Fri (€ 5,- for three course vegan noms!)

Oh, Golden Temple is relatively close to my next hotel (the Flipper). Thanks! Joshua, are you free on Saturday as well?

Huzzah! Can we say 7:30ish at Golden Temple? Does that work for everyone?

Hooray! I love it when more Dutch vegans appear! Too bad you're all so far away from Groningen - but yay! I love meet ups.

To bad the in-laws just moved to Denmark, 'cause before I visited them every once in a while in Groningen!

Bumping AND jacking this thread to announce that I now have a Dutch vegan blog/website thingy! So, if you want to see what recipes for seitan sausage etc. look like in Dutch, check it out!

I do remember what chicken stock tastes like (even though it's more that 20 years ago that I had some), so I'll definitely try your recipe for 'chickened-out' stock! You've been pretty active so far - keep up the good work.

Works for me too, Golden temple, 7:30 pm.
(perhaps I should make a reservation for us?)

Thanks! I'm just trying to write the things I would have liked to read in Dutch when I first started cooking vegan. Also, I noticed that many people have trouble preparing recipes written in English, so I'm trying to make something of the wonderful rich ppk food world available in vernacular writing.

I guess the broth powder will not really taste like chicken stock, in the same way that noochy sauce doesn't really taste like cheese. It tastes good and satisfies a certain craving, but it's not a vegan duplicate of the animal product.

I really like your blog too. The pictures are beautiful and I love how much attention you put into the appearance of the bento lunches and other stuff. Very different from my style. I learned to cook in a student society kitchen and I still kind of work like that, making large pots of tasty food, but I don't have much finesse. Taking half decent pictures is hard work.

Thanks! But your seitan sticks could go into a bento anyday!

BTW my comments on your blog seem to dissolve into thin air..?

Looks like I have to 'approve' any comments before they show up. I saw one comment from you in my list, approved and answered it a few minutes ago. Did you try to post any others? You are our first commenter, so you could have run into a bug of some kind.

Just in case anyone checks before leaving, we're here. Very first table as you walk in the door. I'm wearing a blue shirt. :-)
