I know there's supposed to be vegan stuff at naked chocolate, but whenever I go nothing's labeled that way. Grrr.

Yeah I don't think there is...I was at Naked Chocolate in University City today and the woman told me that there was nothing without dairy. :-\

why am i the only one who has had luck speaking to naked chocolate employees about vegan chocolates (except for that weird e-mail that made no sense)? do i live in some alternate universe? i've probably been to the 13th and walnut location 7-10 times to buy chocolate, always double-checking about vegan-ness, and they are always like "yeah! this, this, this, and this are vegan! and all of our plain dark chocolate bars!" so weird. sorry y'all have had trouble. i don't get it.

The University City and Rittenhouse locations are no longer Naked Chocolate Cafes. So those places may not have dairy-free items, but Naked Chocolate probably does. http://citypaper.net/blogs/mealticket/2 ... hocolates/

That might be the answer - I've only ever been to the Rittenhouse location.

buttercup, do you still have that e-mail? (p.s. you'll always be bunnykitty to me.)

I had luck at 13th St, at first I didn't see any chocolates marked with V, but then I asked the counterperson and they quickly pointed it out to me. I felt silly for not noticing that they were labeled. This was about two months ago, so I don't know if they still do this. There were like 5 diff choices.

Bonus for leaving soy milk out with the creamer.

Here is my strange e-mail correspondence with Naked Chocolate. Never received a response for that last e-mail. My initial e-mail is last..

Hi Marc,
Thank you for your reply. I am very confused, though.

Butterfat is not vegan, as it is an animal product. Does your dark chocolate contain butterfat?

Hi Beka-
All of our Dark Chocolate is considered vegan because of the butterfat
content. My apologies for the misinformation.

Is your dark chocolate vegan? I was told it was and recommended your
business to several friends. I was disappointed when they informed me
that they had been told you have no vegan chocolates. I hope this is not
true, as I have enjoyed many a "vegan" chocolate from Naked Chocolate.
