Finally, broccoli is getting the respect it deserves! I love it! My friend has talked about getting sleeves, one of which would be all kinds of fruit and vegetables in a big cornucopia thing. I hope she does it!

I've gotten 2 new tattoos since I posted here last. Both are literary related: Romeo and Juliet (got this one yesterday and I am super excited about it!) Jane Eyre

People with foot tattoos! Question. Typically my feet/lower legs don't heal super fast from injury, but my tattoo on my calf that extends down to my ankle healed up fine. Now I want to get my feet tattooed, I'm thinking a flower about 3" in diameter on top of both. I'll probably do them seperately. Were you able to walk okay after getting tattooed and how long did it take to heal?

I unwisely got my foot tattooed on a day in which I was doing a lot of traveling, which included standing in line for a ferry for about an hour, standing on buses and trains, etc for hours. It was painful and a bad idea, but bearable.
I can't remember exactly how long it took to heal, but less time than my thigh piece, but that could be because my thigh piece is about 10 times the size. You'll be fine!

Thanks for the broccotat love, you guys!
Nebraskalaska, I was able to walk away after mine but the following few days sucked. It feels like a terrible sunburn and all the blood rushes to it when you stand up and walk, making it buuuurn and sting like crazy. I'd do one at a time and don't do it when you're going to be doing a lot of walking (j-dub, I just did the same with my broccoli tattoo...lots of walking on a fresh lower leg tattoo suuuuucked)

Yep, you'll be fine, especially if you do them one at a time.
I very stupidly did both my feet at the same appointment. Not wise.

The tops of my feet took longer to heal than any other tattoo, and they were all puffy and swollen, but I was fine as long as I wore flats and flip flops (in January, dumb me).

I had no issues healing my foot. I was traveling around Southeast Asia at the time and my only issue was trying to keep it clean (I had to wrap my whole foot in a makeshift cling wrap sock when I went to Cu Chi in Vietnam!). I was doing a lot of walking and I didn't have any pain at all. I think it probably took about a week to fully heal.

I only have small tatts on my feet, but the itches were what got me. When they were healing, and I had my feet stuck in shoes at work all day long.... ugh, that was not fun. Overall I found that they healed up alright though.

I got both my feet done at the same time and I think that's the way to go, to get the healing over with. I don't know why it would be preferable to have one sore foot for a week or two, then have to deal with it all over again with the other foot. When I got my feet tattooed I had to go to work every day as a dog walker, which sucked, but I survived!
