I would have pooped my pants if Barney was marrying anyone other than Robin.
It's not impossible that Victoria was Rachel Bilson's roommate, who knows where she was living after Germany. I think that is a really big stretch and highly unlikely. Victoria is just a distraction (like someone mentioned, Ted really likes to beat his relationships into the ground). They got renewed for 2 more seasons, I believe, but they've really got to intro the mom soon since they showed Ted with a baby in just a few years. If he doesn't meet her by mid-season it's gonna be really pushing it.

At this point I'm more interested in who designed the wedding dress!

I didn't like it at all, but I'm in the minority on that, so I'm going to chalk it up to my admittedly odd fashion sense : ) But hey, it's Robin, she'd make getting married in a paper bag look beautiful! I did like Quinn a lot but I'm happy it's her and Barney.

I'm so behind news, I thought this was supposed to be the last season D:
Anyway, it was an okay episode, I was pissed Quinn quit her job JUST for Barney, and even though I'm glad he and Robin end up together, that means she walked away from a job he was being a jerk about it (seriously, if you don't want to date a stripper, don't date a stripper) and they're going to split anyway makes it seem fruitless. Its like if Victoria isn't the mother, she stood up a guy at the altar for no real reason (although really if she was willing to run off she shouldn't marry the dude anyway, even if Ted rejected her its like really, you're going to settle for a guy you don't really care about and was willing to crush?)
Also, When I saw Robin in her wedding dress I realized she looks like a young Hope from Days Of Our Lives D:

I really liked Victoria her first time around, but I don't know that I can like her character anymore. After everything with Stella, how could Ted be ok with her walking out on her wedding, knowing what Klaus is going to go through? Wasn't that why Tony broke up with Stella later on, because Ted said he could never be with a person who does something like that?

I suck at life right now because I'm just now watching the season finale. I totally cried tears of joy at the Robin reveal. What a forking nerd!
But, seriously, I will stab them if they try to pull a twist on that. It's Robin and Barney...or else!

It was cute. I called it too! Now lets see if they go through with it.

God damn it. I think that episode was really cute, but I had to watch it on CBS's website. It is the worst streaming player I have ever used. It took me 2 hours to get through all 40 minutes. I stream all the time just fine. I swear they made it shitty on purpose. Kitteh wrote: My bf called it a couple of eps ago, saying it would all be one big play to get Robin. I suspected, but once he started dating Patrice I knew it was a play. I find it sickly funny how Robin can't help but yell at Patrice every. damn. time.

Just for the record of possibly calling-its: my brother thinks the mother is Barney's sister who we've never met, but she was alluded to when Barney finally met his real father.
It's a reach, but makes sense in the Barney-got-Robin-so-Ted-gets-his-sister way.

I've seen Barney's sister as the mother mentioned before, and I think it is very likely outcome. Barney finding his dad was a big story arc, and the writers love bringing these things full circle.

I loved the episode so freaking much! Almost more than I love Robin screaming at Patrice. Haha.
As for following through...I think they've dicked us around enough that this will stick. I mean, we actually only got a few episodes of Barney and Robin dating before they broke up. And they spent how many seasons doing the bad timing thing? They better just let them be the next married couple on the show because I'm not having it any other way. Haha.

I read spoilers on how the engagement was going to happen a few weeks ago. The second half of the episode was originally called "The Robin." There's some pretty interesting threads on the HIMYM board on imdb.com. Overall I liked the episode, but there were some parts that really almost jumped the shark.

I just saw there's going to be a 9th season. I like the show, but I really think it should end this year.

I just started watching this show a few months ago. One of my local stations plays 2 episodes a day, 7 days a week. They're completely out of order, so I was fairly confused for a while. Then I got the first 3 seasons on DVD and started paying attention to which season the episodes on TV are from, and I think I've got the timelines pretty well straightened out. I haven't been able to watch this season yet, but I'll catch up soon.
All that to say, I can't believe it took me this long to get into this show! It's completely awesome, and right up there with Friends with the lovable cast, killer one-liners, ongoing story lines, and spectacular writing. And I freaking LOVE when Robin gets all hyper-Canadian.

Wow, guys. Why did no one tell me about this sitcom heaven? I love this show. My bf and I are plowing through the seasons on Netflix. We're toward the end of Season 3 right now.

I seriously think this is my most favorite episode so far! Robin Sparkles 4! Random Canadian stars! Dave Coulier indirectly referencing Alanis Morissette!

I loved tonight's episode too. I loved that it poked fun at Robin's Canadian roots, in a way that wasn't offensive to Canadians (or to me, a Canadian). I loved that Simon came back. He's one of my favourite guest characters ever!
