aaaand one of my all time faves "Spring Fever"
I've almost worn through my DVD of this because it (and the feature, Squirm) are so hilarious. I love dropping the "Welcome to Divot Hills!" line when I play golf.
I'm here to declare my love for MST3K. I noticed the Dec. Rifftrax will be online, not in theaters. They released details maybe yesterday but I haven't checked back yet.

Hah! I didn't know they had shorts! The only movie I've enjoyed (and watched 20+ times) is The Final Sacrifice, but I still haven't seen some of the other "good" movies.

"Buy me ANYTHING in there with Larry Czonka on it. I'll pay for it." Classic. I haven't explored the Rifftrax yet, but worth mentioning here in case any MST3Kers aren't aware of it: The Film Crew is a short post MST3k project that is (mostly? still?) available on Netflix.
My fave MST3k features, in no particular order: Final Sacrifice, Squirm, Overdrawn at the Memory Bank (ft. Raul Julia!), Phantom Planet, and The Girl with the Golden Boots.

We are pretty obsessed with MST3K at our house. Shorts are great when I can't/don't want to sit down and watch a full episode. My favorites...
A Case of Spring Fever A Date With Your Family Hired! Why Industrial Arts? Progress Island USA Once Upon A Honeymoon What to Do On A Date
Really, all of the instructional '50s shorts are so amazing.
As for Rifftrax, I have really not seen too many but I really like what I have seen. I think one of the funniest things I have ever seen is the short One Got Fat. I have seen the Rifftrax for the first two Twilights (amazing), Harry Potter 4 (meh), and Roadhouse (amazing).
I so badly want to start an MST3K monthly meetup/potluck! I wish you all lived near me.

I can't find the MST3K version of this one, but I loved it so much when I saw it it really didn't have much to do with any of their commentary... Ah... The ultra amazing, sci-fi-like technology of call waiting...
Edit:
And how could I ALMOST forget a MST3K shorts classic!

Rifftrax are mp3s you can buy to play along with a movie! So you get commentary from Mike, Kevin and Bill. They're available at http://www.rifftrax.com
My favourite MST3K short was probably, maybe, the "Young Man's Fancy" one. Ah, product placement and sexism.

I'm playing the "Cabot" drinking game with Outlaw tonight and 12 minutes in (movie has been playing for 5 minutes) I've already finished one drink. Anybody got any other drinking games for the movies? Cause this one may very well kill me, I'm about 10 drinks behind just from writing this post.

supercarrot and I went to Rifftrax Live last week and it was pretty awesome! They played a short before the feature called "What is Nothing?" that was downright bizarre. Jack the Giant Killer was a great choice, and highly riffable. I'd highly recommend checking out the live show if you're a Rifftrax fan.
Rifftrax is doing Manos live in August. Tickets go on sale for theaters nationwide on June 8th but they haven't released the theaters it will show in yet.
