Hey Friends,

I'm thinking of having a huge bake sale and art show in my house to raise funds so I can get my own place and file for divorce. Pretty sad I have to do this, but I think it's a good way to keep me motivated, be creative, and not give my financial status or this crazy divorce power over me.

I was thinking of making super small sized care packages of art. It's my work, so I value them as priceless, but I'll stick 'em in an envelope and send them to you. You might even get a cookie, but I'm not going to get too ambitious.

This way I can clear my house of some art work, raise some $$, and get the heck out of this situation.

Let's talk about artwork. I'd love to give you my money!

I'm going to go through some of my stuff tonight, set it out, and take pictures.

What sort of price range would you be expecting to get? I know art is actually a lot more expensive than I used to think, being brought up on mass-produced-in-countries-with-cheap-labour goods and second-hand books. And that's not even taking into account the fact that it is your own art and therefore priceless to you, or that it's for a good cause that someone might spend a bit more than usual on.

Okay, I'll be taking pics of stuff over the next few days and will post them on this thread. I have addiction dolls, some prints from college, and some stuff from my brief stint on etsy.

Price range will be affordable, so if you see something you like, name a price that seems reasonable, plus cost to ship to your location. Every penny will help me reach my goal.

Okay, here's a start.

To expedite the process, I'm cool with files downloaded and printed. That way, I don't have to spend an arm and a leg to send this to you, and you can BOOM! get your stuff quick and at any ol' size you want.

I'm asking for a minimum donation of $5 per print. If you wanted to print off all on your computer, then just give me what you can. I want your donations, but I also want you to have my work.

I'm doing this to raise money to file for my divorce, and move into my own place with the kids. For any of you following my situation, my soon to be ex has run us into the ground financially and I'm having to rebuild myself all over again. As you all know it takes money to move and money to file. I've found a lawyer who will take me at pro-bono*-(*her PB rate is $10 an hour which is better than $175 per hour). I'm hoping to have the filing fees waived, but the courts might charge me anyway when they find out how much STBNMJ makes.

A little bit about it:

The vaginal images in trees were created under the artist name V. Gina. I went through and still go through phases of taking pictures of genitalia in trees and in nature. I think these were from 2004.

The whimsical drawings are me forking around at staff meetings. 2004-5.

The doll art was from a show about 4 years ago at Boxcar Books. The theme was about gender identity and being torn to pieces. The piece "Unlucky" was dedicated to Brandon Tena. 2008-9

I'll post more later of some stuff from my now closed Etsy shop.
