I'm coming up from Palo Alto and need to find a yummy place in the Mission to have an early lunch. 11am-ish. I hoped for Cha Ya but they don't open until noon. Gracias Madre doesn't cut it for this Austin girl. I'm scared to try Herbivore because it's universally panned.
Any hidden gems in the Mission for an early lunch? I'm going to Rainbow for a big shopping trip and then a 6pm Millennium dinner, so nothing super heavy. Thanks guys!

Thank you for suggesting Papalote! Best Mexican I've had since leaving Texas. Excellent guacamole and salsas. My sweet man loved it too and thanks you too. He's a native and had never tried it before.
Im hoping to try St. Francis soon.
Thanks PPK, you saved the day once again!
