Hey friendos, anyone know a good place in PDX that sells citric acid (powdered) at a relatively cheap price?

I live in NW (near 21st & burnside) and take public transit, so anywhere not super far away is best.

I'm curious what you need it for.

I did a search and apparently you can sometimes get it at Freddy Meyers as "sour salt" in the canning section.
So perhaps just try the nearest big supermarket?

I have no idea what they need it for and don't live in PDX, but I put a small spoonful in water to rinse sliced apples to stop them from turning brown. I also randomly toss a dash into things if it needs a little sour or tang.

Look in the kosher sections of large supermarkets, under the name "sour salt."

Bath bombs! It combines well with epsom salt and baking powder to make fizzy luxurious baths.

And thanks for the tips, y'all. They didn't have it at my Fred Meyer, but I'll definitely hit up the Co-Op and report back.

I got some at New Seasons last year.

They sell it at New Seasons in the bulk herb section. I think Fred Meyer also has it in with their bulk herbs, but I could be mixing it up with ascorbic acid.
