I'm so sick of some of the re-branding shiitake that's going on. I saw a "Brit-Kat" (Kit Kat) the other day (though this could be related to the Jubilee or the Olympics), and today someone on Twitter posted a photo of a loaf of Kingsmill bread that had been relabeled "Queensmill". Vomit. It was kinda cute when Marmite brought out the special Ma'amite, but this other shiitake is going too far.

I had no idea that bunting was even a real thing that people paid money for. Before this week/month I'd only ever seen it in BBC crime dramas (there's been a murder at the village fête!) or decorating used car sales yards.

The university's staff nursery had their summer dance show on Saturday. I had to be in the building for something else. There was bunting everywhere and every time I came within earshot there was royalty-themed music. :/

Local traders didn't want to do anything here as a group (hooray!) but there are a few union flags in some shop windows, no-where escapes the curse

I was all ready to vent about how much I hate the stupid Jubilee but I got home today and apparently my street's having a party with vegan cake so now I'm gonna have to go!

Well yeah, if someone was promising vegan cake, I'd celebrate nearly anything.

Hey, there's a fake Ruby Rose knocking around the PPK! I thought you'd changed your avatar then came back here to check and it isn't you.

I was watching Lorraine this morning (there was nothing else on ok!) and they had all this GB fashion on. It was so rubbish. Union Jack dresses and not fun slutty ones like ginger spice used to wear. And the ugliest union jack shoes that were £3000!

So Fake Ruby Rose (or to be accurate RubyRose) is a sweetie, and is going to change zir name, which has spoilt my plan for being a complete grumpybollox for the rest of the Jubilee Jamboree Hellweek. Gah! It's hard work being a bloody misery, you know. I'm off to shout at some small children now.

(Next time I see you, remind me to tell you about my life with the sports journalist and why that created a compulsive need to tease footie fans...) What's with the Jubilee beacon stuff? There's one at the top of my road - I was hoping it was going to be a Wicker Man.

There are red, white and blue bouquets for sale in Lidl. They come with a small Union Jack on a wooden stick.
What?! Lidl aren't even a British company!

Gary Barlow Trapped Inside Queen's ArseQuote: This weekend the world’s media will be focused on the Queen, and were she to give rectal birth to a middle-aged man in the midst of it all there would be an absolute furore.
Also of course Barlow would then technically be a prince, and the Queen would have to give him a county and a special soldier outfit, neither of which he deserves.

I don't have a TV and thought I'd done really well to miss the whole event when who should suddenly be given a slot on the radio just before 6:00pm today to thank everyone, never has the mute button been pressed so quickly! Got the olympics to avoid next, at least that should be mainly London centric once the flaming torches have gone out
