okay, so netflix just put up Dawson's Creek, and since my passion for television of the cheezy variety is an ever-burning flame, i decided to watch it FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER. I'm on season 2 and I just wanna chat about it since none of my irl friends wanna hear about it.
it's so self referential! the characters refer to television subplots, during subplots!
a lot of me watching it involved wanting to punch people and saying "no!" out loud to my computer.

So much of Dawson's Creek makes me cringe with embarrassment for everyone involved, but JUST WAIT FOR SEASON 3. Season 3 makes it all worth it. I re-watch it all the time. Yeah, I'm 36 years old, who cares.

Shut the fork up! Shut the fork up! I can't believe you've never seen it. Omigod. I need to go watch this. I own the first three seasons, but have never seen the fifth in its entirety and can't remember the fourth.

I tried watching it but Pacey drove me to immeasurable levels of crazy watching his jackassery in the first handful of episodes. If it was just all about Joey, I'd get behind that.

You have to watch way past that. I think the best of Pacey really shines through once Jack and Andy arrive. Without going into spoilers for those who will be watching for the first time, Pacey really transforms into a multidimensional character and a forking dreamboat.

Yeah. The song thing has to do with paying royalties and the distributor. Also, they had to go back and remove a lot of the actual songs that played on the series.

I have the first season on dvd and watch it all the time, and now that I know it's available on Netflix I know what I'll be doing at work when the babies are sleeping!

Okay I'm watching it now. One episode in and I've already hurt myself so much laughing at how awesomely ridiculous this is.

I won Season 1 and 2 DVD sets at at White Elephant gift exchange over Christmas. Sad to report I still haven't watched them, but I was openly bragging about what an awesome win they were.

Watch it. It's got everythang. Totally self righteous teenagers speaking like 30 somethings trying to sound like teenagers, scandalous love stories, inexplicable deaths, and one of the greatest love triangles of all time!
I seriously adore this show.

Oh my god, I loved - no LOVE - Dawson's Creek so much. It's part ridiculous, and part plain awesome. I re-watched it all last year, as I'd got a bit lost around series 4/5 last time. And, series 5 Pacey is so soul destroying, but it might turn out okay in the end. Maybe.

I watched it when it was originally on TV and I loved it. I watched a bit of one when it was on again recently and it is just sooo cringey. I hate Joey, I always did. I hate the way they talk - they are 15 DAMMIT!!!
I would get the box sets though and try to sit through it from the beginning again.
It is worth watching though for Pacey and Dawson's hot dad!
