I didn't see any posts about this place yet. A raw vegan place, set up for take out mostly it seems, but Mr JW and I had dinner there tonight and there was plenty of seating. He had the reuben wrap which was delicious, and I had the pasta puttanesca, which was also very good. We each had a side salad to start and split a mango coconut pudding for dessert. The dessert was plenty for 2 people. The bill was about $60 including tip.

Yes a little pricey but totally organic and I don't think out of line with Quintessence prices. We were originally going to go to Caravan of Dreams and I doubt we would have spent less for 3 courses. Actually our mains were cheaper than those at Caravan. I am mentioning this because most of the Yelp reviews complained about the prices.

There was plenty of space to eat in on a Saturday night, which makes me wonder if they are going to make it. Caravan had a 45 minute wait for a table at the same time.

You know it's funny, I stopped in there once on a rainy day and it was completely empty. I think it's just the location? Is Caravan on the same block?

Another peculiar thing is that Dirt Candy is also stationed a pretty decent trek away from the main strip but gets so much foot traffic, and I've definitely witnessed the wait at Caravan before but I'm not so sure why that restaurant is more busy when there are myriad options around that vicinity. My ideal strip was 2nd Ave back in the day, with Viva Herbal for pizza and Atlas for some cake or a donut.

Is the food good at Gingersnap Organic? I want to hop in there now and show support, they do have raw pizza that sounds amazing!

Caravan is around the block on 6th St. and GS is on 7th near to several popular restaurants like 7A, Sidewalk, etc. I think their set-up encourages take out over dining in.

Maybe we should schedule a meetup there? I haven't tried it and would be interested in a month when I'm working again.

I live near there so I could probably participate in a meet up.
