I kinda liked seeing someone on 'Reality tv' being called out as fake, but I also believe she could be more 'for real' than Joe's giving her credit for..but then that goes into a whole existential hip culture questioning.
Anyway! Watched last night, glad it's back, have a few favorites already, and bummed I won't be home tonight to watch the 2nd half.

Oooh. I can't wait to watch. Even though it will obviously never be as good as the Aussie Masterchef.

i didnt really question whether or not Monte was fake. i guess i just bought it. and i kinda liked her. i thought she was quirky. but real quirky not "i wanna be on tv quirky" maybe im a sucker.
i also liked the 7ft bball player. i was sad they didnt let the girl from Zimbabwe in. i thought it was rude of Gordon to say putting peanut butter in kale was wrong after she explained the cultural background of it. he was like "oh yeah i get it but that's not Master Chef" ummm...ok????
i liked the blind woman's story and i was also close to crying but i dont think she will last long. i think since she will be judged like everyone else she will have a hard time keeping up time-wise since she has to feel around for everything. i did think she was still awesome though. i mean dang. i cant imagine cooking without being able to see. i wouldnt even try.

i question if she is COMPLETELY blind- she said she was LEGALLY blind, so i'm wondering if she has even a tiny bit of vision, not trying to call her out for lying or something like that, i was just wondering if she could even see a little bit since she said she'd been losing it for ten years.

is that like his tv schtick or is he really that much of a dick???
meanwhile i love Graham. he seems like a genuinely nice dude.

I think Joe is just so obsessed with being as big a deal as Ramsay. I don't even listen to anything he says because it all seems to just amount to him trying to be respected in offhand ways.

I know! The US version moves far too quickly. We're watching both the US and Australian current seasons right now, and we always save the Oz version for last because it's so much more satisfying.

I hate Felix already. They didn't even taste her dish before they decided she got immunity for winning the that challenge!
Joe scares me.

There is so much time spent on the drama of the tasting and the chefs' reactions, and not nearly enough time showing the food and the tasting/criticizing of the food. I don't need to see Joe give that stupid stare any more - I want to know what everyone cooked, why and what it tastes like. It's annoying seeing the neglected cooks standing there like lumps.

i like how last night they were horrified at the idea that the taco food truck girl (Stacy?) wanted a vegetarian option. OH THE HORROR WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!?!?!? AHHHH!!!!!
i didnt have a problem with that Becky girl until she made that face and was like "what are you an idiot? why on earth would you make a vegetarian option??"

There are no vegetarians in Gordon Ramsey land. Ever. But I am totally rooting for Stacy now though.

I can understand not wanting to double the work (look how it bit the American food truck folks in the asparagus), but it'd be nice if somebody did something veg-friendly at some point. And by that I mean forking vegan.

Man! Sometimes the judges are so weird. Why bring in someone's whole family to turn her down! Sheesh. But they were so nice to the boy who made dumplings (which I loved)!
(I just started watching this season, backwards, because the suspense is the worst). Finally made it to the very first episode. Now I want to make cornbread!
