So this was discussed over in the rant thread, but I thought it deserved its own so we don't miss any. If the moderators or populace agrees it should be in the Square that's fine, but I wasn't sure. I don't want to exclude those without children, but would especially like to meet all you NYC playground posters since that's where I mostly hang out.

Apologies for the late posting, I am bad at life and had a busier vacation (!?!) the last week and a half than I expected.

so it looks like this will work best for the most people:

Date: June 10, 2012.
Place: Soy & Sake, 47-49 7th ave s (west village)
Time: ? Would 1 pm work for people?

I would really love to go, but I just took the train to NY this past weekend and I feel like my giant belly and I should stay close to home for the next few weeks.

Should I make a reservation for us and if so, for how many people? It tends to be pretty empty, but if we have a large party it might be worth making sure we have a big enough table.

Awww, I would have loved to meet people but already have plans to go to Figment. I look forward to it all year and have a friend with an installation.

I've never been to this place so I don't know if we need one or not. I'm more sure that my partner will not be joining us, so just me and babynut if you trying to count heads.

I was wondering about the reservation thing myself. I figured they'd probably be pretty empty on a sunday lunchtime (when people are doing more traditional brunch stuff), but it couldn't hurt.

Me + B + V make 3 (or 2.5). Can we reserve ALL the high chairs? ;)

Tofulish, are you calling them or should I? (Sorry for the late post, we've been taking a whirlwind vegan rampage through Providence today.) BTW we're taking the train in from RI, should be in the city around 11.. We're thinking about trekking over to Lulu's after lunch.

Definitely you call! Then it'll be under your name! It is a big and often quiet space, but yeah, it'd be good to get all the high chairs!

OK, I'm counting 12 plus the Audrey party of unknown magnitude. Unless Brett is coming. Will Brett be there?

Audrey, any idea what your plans will be?

I'm also having a heckuva time remembering exact ages. Is that 5 babies for high chairs and 7 adults? (I don't know if they'll have that many, so it's probably not a bad idea for those who can conveniently bring strollers to do so. We'll plan to bring ours.

Yeah, I think all of the kiddies are high chair age. If there aren't enough Ada can just sit on our laps. She won't stay in a high chair for too long anyway.
And mmmmm to Lula's. If it's warm out, and I think it's supposed to be, we might let Ada splash around in the Washington Square water fountain which is not so far from soy and sake.

OK, I just decided to split the difference and make a reservation for 8 adults and 6 babies (!!!). And let me tell you they were thrilled about six babies! But apparently they only have one high chair. We'll bring a stroller, anyone else who can...maybe we can set up a little stroller area and hope that it's not a total disaster?

The reservation is under Angela (that'd be me).
