Hi. I'm going down to Santa Fe in July to take a workshop at Santa Fe Clay and stopping in Taos for a night on the drive down. Does anyone have any advice on places to get good creative vegan food? I usually just grab stuff from Whole Foods while I am there but to tell you the truth - I am so sick of Whole Foods (I live two blocks from one).

Santa Fe has an Annapurna, I really enjoy their food. Also, the food at Body Cafe is fantastic.

I was just in Santa Fe for the first time ever last month. I had a tougher time than I expected because a) my coworkers all (understandably) wanted to eat at New Mexican-style places and b) those places had cheese in almost everything. However, I did have a really good vegan meal at Annapurna. The rest of the trip, I mostly did the Whole Foods/Trader Joe's thing.

I just got back from Taos. Eske's has a delicious veggie green chile stew, but it is pretty spicy. Graham's Grill has a tofu dish for weekend brunch that had a nice presentation.
I am not a big fan of Annapurna. Santa Fe usually dissapoints me. I always expect more. You can get a pizza with daiya cheese at De Vargas mall next to the movie theater. I ate at the Tree House once. I had a lentil beet salad which was deliciously awesome, but it took them 100 years to make it. I also had trouble finding it. An expensive raw vegan place is supposed to be opening soon, Mama Pacha.
