Hey Clevelanders,
Do you have any vegan resturants?! I'm traveling through and need some recommendations. Thanks.

The Flaming Ice Cube is good, and right on Public Square. That makes it accessible to the freeway. If you want to go a bit off the path, try Tommy's which is in Coventry (the East side of Cleveland). http://www.tommyscoventry.com/We went to Noodlecat for the first time Saturday (also downtown) and the tempura (ask for vegan) and the salad I had were wonderful. http://noodlecat.com/If you're into an adventure, don't miss Vegan Sweet Tooth. But it might be out of your way. http://www.vegansweettooth.comIf you have any specific question, just ask!

I corrected the spelling of Cleveland in case someone wants to use this thread as an all-purpose Cleveland thread.

PSA: if you go to Melt on the East side, the fries are cooked in a shared fryer. However, they have a dedicated vegan kitchen! On the West Side, it's the opposite. Get the fries.

I am familiar with many of the vegan restaurants what I need to know is where can you stay downtown preferably Lakeside that is within walking distance of some places to eat, bar entertainment that won't cost a small fortune to stay in. I am coming and staying overnight with 20 people most of whom who are ominvores. I also plan to hit the Westside market while in town and I am wondering whats good to check out while there. I will be there on a Saturday.

Can't help with where to stay, but near the Market, I'd check out Great Lakes Brewery if you like beer. There is also a Mexican restaurant nearby called Orale that has vegan specials. Call ahead to be safe, but they aren't just available on Tuesdays. http://www.oralecmc.com/Noodlecat is also downtown, and owned by Chef Sawyer, who also owns the Greenhouse Tavern. It's great for a special occasion and is a huge hit with omnis.

I will look up the places you suggested.
I am probably going to stay at the Comfort Inn at 1800 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH, US, 44115 when I go. Is this a good area? I am looking at due to the price of the hotel and not far from RR Hall of Fame. Which I've seen before but it's of interest to others in my group. Let me know if there anything you can tell me about this area. Thanks!
