have to say it was okay.
I rewatched the last S4 episode and managed to work and write several emails through out. It was as bad as remembered. New episode (which I watched when I logged off work to give it a chance) was much better. I think the problem with TB is too many main characters now, too many story lines and watching sookey get bit and go oooh is a tad cheesy. - Mad Men is so much more refined :)

We subscribe to HBO during the summer for True Blood and then cancel during the rest of the year. I'd say it's worth it, but I have TV problems.

I can never seem to form a cohesive opinion on these episodes, but: - I guess since human Tara lost part of her head, vampire Tara is all messed up? Poor Lafayette, losing his two most important people in a day. - Are Bill and Eric going to be separated from everyone else all season? I liked that while Eric was ignoring Sookie's fear (back to his old self!), Bill was going to help her. Makes me like him a little more. - Sookie keeping the Debbie secret from Alcide is obviously a really smart idea, as usual.

I heart Pam. Those Walmart sweats and the use of "Fucktarded" to describe Tara. The Eric/Nora scenes were pretty hot, despite their repeated use of brother/sister. I get it, they're not bro/sis like we know it, but still I could do with a little less pillow talk. I like the Bill and Eric bromance going on. Jessica saving Jason from the "Gay American Vampire" was awesome, but the frat party was weird. Ike Applebaum!!!!

Maybe Tara will finally become interesting!
Pam was so awesome this ep. Loved her sweatsuit.
Whoohoo Sookie has to do Pam a favor, which involves Eric.
The reverend and Jason need at least one scene together per episode. They have amazing chemistry.
Wow, Eric sure got over Sookie pretty quickly.

I loved it! A lot happened!
My biggest fear: they're going to spend the whole season trying to make Tara into a normal vampire.

My biggest fear: they're going to spend the whole season trying to make Tara into a normal vampire. I'm so excited it is back on! I'm not gonna lie; I've watched it twice already. I'm choosing to remain optimistic of Tara as vamp, but let's hope they don't devote too much time to her new (lack of) life-status plotline. I guess it's better than her coming back all shaky-lip crying in Sookie's dreams or a ghost or something. I can't wait until Alcide finds out Sookie offed Debbie.

I'm not annoyed with Tara yet. I was hoping her becoming a vampire would make me like her more. But I'm interested to see what her relationship with Pam is like, since everyone seems to love/revere their makers, and that seems unlikely here.
Baby wolf in pajamas! Omg.
The reverend's dancing was one of my favorite parts.

The reverend is definitely becoming one of my favorite characters, too. He is way more fun undead than he was alive.
Well, it seems like Tara's mind is working. I guess we'll just have to see how her character develops as a self-hating vampire.

My biggest fear: they're going to spend the whole season trying to make Tara into a normal vampire. Yep. I think it would make more sense to have her be a vamp with TBI seeing how Debbie shot off half her face. Kind of like a frankenstein vampire. Doesn't know her own strength, needs babysitting, like Bubba in the books. Christopher Meloni, what can't you do? It's gonna suck to miss the rest of the season when I move away. And also: did you notice NO ONE BOINKED in this last episode? C'mon HBO writers, someone has to be forking. It's the law of a premium cable show. The universe will explode.

Man, this thread is bot-tastic.
All I can say about this episode is, how many forking plot lines do they need?

All of them!
I do get frustrated that they're literally spending like 5-10 minutes on each plot line, so it makes the show move SO SLOWLY.

So Jason has a conscious now?
Also will they ever explain what happened to Jesus?

I don't understand how Lafayette has the demon in him- was Marnie planning on possessing his body forever, but since Gram pulled her out the demon just stayed in him? I hate that. I hope Jesus comes back and helps him out. (And yes, where the heck did Jesus' body go?!)
What exactly was Hoyt trying to do at Fangtasia?
