They list things on their site that are vegan. I remember the hand lotion is!

Sleeping with your hands /feet in vaseline or thick moisture and gloves/socks. Seriously, absorbs so well over night.

You probably meant that a joke, but it made me think of times when my hands get dry and cracked and then when I sweat it hurts horribley. I do not think another person's sweat would feel any nicer! Sort of, but Brian has sweaty hands and sometimes I want to hold them and he's like, "They're sweaty.", so I say "Mine are dry as fork, so perfect."

If you don't want to wear gloves, you could also wrap each finger with adhesive bandage. That is what I do for my job (under my gloves.) Vaseline, bandage, gloves. I also eat 1T ground flax seeds most days. I don't know if it helps, it is more subtle.

My sister used to swear by wearing nail strengthener, and I'm pretty sure there are products on the market designed to keep moisture/add moisture to nails. They're usually Vitamin E oil based, but I don't have a brand name to give you.
Also, do you get enough water and avoid caffeine? It may seem too off-point but my hands are always dry when my face is, and that's usually because I'm dehydrated.

My nails have been super dry and peeling excessively. I'm starting to think it was my polish remover (No Miss), even though it says it's non-drying. So now I'm using Zoya Remove and I'm going to see if that makes a difference. I only used it once so far, so too soon to tell.

I'm either working outside in the sun all day or dealing with paper and chalk. Either way my hands get incredibly dry. This thread made me remember my sister bought me a nail kit from those little booths with the dead sea products in the mall. They're actually really good and the ingredients are vegan and not tested on animals from what I can tell. I got one about 5 years ago and just used it up a year and a half ago. She bought it for me this last Christmas and it's been sitting in my closet ever since! The buffer you get with it is the best buffer EVER.
