So every week my mom gives Mar a $1 (sometimes $5) to go in his savings. He saved up for this:

We were going to go with the original but I think the sleek look is better and it has more room. I am glad Brawny Cat has stuff for big cats - it is hard to find anything in stores that will fit a 19 pound cat!

Ooo, that's a nice looking scratching thingamabob. I wonder if my cats would like that. It looks a lot less messy than cardboard.

I hope it is less messy than cardboard! He has 3 - 4 scratchers - he will not use one and the one he loves most is falling apart. I tried throwing the falling apart one away and he follows me out & I just cannot do it. It is made from recycled pulp and now has holes in it. He has had it for over 2 years and the company no longer makes them.

It's sort of Madame Pompadour-ish. Kitty Pompadour! I wants one! My kitties wants one too though they just don't know it yet!

I have one 20 lb cat as well.

The Brawny company just wrote me thinking that Mar is a girl and 'her' name is MissMuffcake...Um no. I hope that they do not think this is the name we want on his lounge!
