Found a dry spot inbetween the rain to walk the dogs. Now back to Dawson's creek and wine on the couch.

I'm drinking cherry vodka with cranberry-pomegranate juice. That's like... a whole serving of fruit. (If you love me, you won't correct me.)

I just sent a five poem poetry submission to a mag which I have been trying to send for TWO DAYS. Stoopit yahoo! e-mail attachment probs. Now that I've finally dusted my hands of that, I think I'll watch a movie. Maybe The Woman in Black since nothing is on TV tonight.

At the office maybe possibly doing work to prepare for a presentation I have Tuesday. I'm actually extremely tired though so I might just go home and sleep, or something similarly exciting.

A humongous thunderstorm broke the disgusting heat wave we've been having this week, so we went for a lovely long walk after the rain stopped. So nice to be able to go outside without feeling physically assaulted!

I played Scrabble with my mom. Plantain chips and cheap wine for dinner. I felt a bit queasy afterwards, but not queasy enough to deter me from having plantain chips and cheap wine for dinner in the future.

LeSigh. I was gonna hang out with the ex for the first time in a long while. I miss her dog a lot. I made him doggie treats! I call her and she answers with a quick "I can't talk right now" hurried worried whatever. Since she bought this house it has been crisis after crisis. I'm assuming its off for this night now.
So, I made it all hot and went to bed late last night making biscuits for a dog I might not see for who knows how long. Well, at least I have plans for a date tomorrow night and she has a cute doggie who also likes me.
I made lettuce soup out of lettuce that was getting bitter, thinking cooking and souping it would cut the bitter. It didn't really. I made it better with potatoes and yogurt, but not good enough. Tomorrow I will maybe put some non-bitter stuff in to balance it out. Now I'm watching netflix and going to work on my program for work. I will maybe make some pizza dough because I saw tomorrow is vegan pizza day.
ETA- Well, at least that means I don't feel compelled to share my specloos cheesecake with her. And I get popcorn for dinner to make up for the bitter lettuce soup.

I'm watching Awkward and chatting to my best friend who is overseas. Not bad, overall.

My spouse was supposed to be out late for a volunteer thing, so my plan was to make pizza, put the kids to bed, then lay on the couch and watch super old episodes of Project Runway. But then the volunteer thing got cancelled so my wild and crazy Friday night is up in the air!

Now I'm debating whether or not I want to go get groceries. And if I'd rather go to Giant, which is more expensive but around the corner, or Wegman's which is about 10 minutes away but cheaper and with better produce. It's just so hoooot . . . ..

Ok I feel bad about complaining now. apparently her mom's dog had the dog run cord wrapped around his leg super bad & had to take him to the vet. Poor boy! Thinks he will be ok though.

I signed up for a 5k run tomorrow morning at 10am. I was really tired and hungover today (Thursday night party after finishing some school stuff) so I kind of fell asleep at 7pm. Then, I woke up and looked at the time and it was 9:30 so I freaked the fork out because that meant I was going to be late. I e-mailed all of my friends who were going (while frantically getting ready) and told them I overslept and was going to be late, but as soon as I got out the door I checked my phone-clock and apparently it's still Friday night. So... crisis averted?

I worked two events happening at once which were two surprise birthday parties. It was really weird/annoying. I came home at midnight and fell asleep about fifteen minutes later (evidently) with a glass of cider in my hand. I feel so old these days!

Grey and I went to a neighbors house and I drank beer and ate olives. My neighbors who I was with are all retired folks and enjoyed watching Grey crawl around. Grey started to meltdown so we walked home. I did some laundry, made brownies for Grey's bday party tomorrow and now I am on the couch and considering going to bed.
