He is so cute! I adopted a cat when he was around 13 and he's 18 now and still pretty healthy. I am getting aware that his jumps are getting clumsier as he advances in age, and his eyesight is maybe failing a bit and I might have to adapt things a bit (i.e., place step stools up to my bed so he can get up there easier, etc., without falling) in time but he's still getting around okay for now. Just keep an eye on his abilities as he goes on and accommodate where necessary. You're awesome for taking him in! <3.

Just love him and give him a quiet environment. Of coarse the poor dear may be completely deaf by now. Wow he's old. Oh and a low litter box. Those big covered things could be too hard to get out of.

I noticed a significant amount of dark blood in Chewie's stool tonight and he gets really bitey if I touch his right side. I'm bringing him in first thing tomorrow and I can't help but think the worst given his age. I hope I'm overreacting because I've become rather attached to the old guy.

It's not as bad as I thought. Chewie's intestines are inflamed from hairballs, so I just need to give him some meds and a good brushing.
