Hi there,
Is there a good cookbook that you might recommend for kids? I have a picky 8 year old who will (so far, from what I've made) only eat fried rice, french fries/mashed potatoes, vegetable soup, macaroni and cheese and peanut butter sandwiches!

I think Dreena Burton's Eat Drink & Be Vegan is good for feeding kids. Also Peas & Thank You (I'm blanking on author's name but if you google that, you'll find her. She has a ton of recipes on her blog too.). And, though it's a little surprising, I've had great luck feeding my younger (2.5 year old) kid out of Isa's Appetite for Reduction.

Both Isa's Vegan Brunch and Julie's Vegan Diner are very popular with the under 12 year old mob (cousins) in our family.

The day I got the book, I left Vegan Brunch on the livingroom table. When I returned I found my little cousins had already widely announced to their neighbourhood friends that we were doing a massive vegan brunch that weekend. The fabulous pictures in the book made them do it. More suprising, they had already rounded up extra waffle irons and toasters from friends. We had a blast.

When I'm cooking for the kidlets we often play Vegan Diner - where they place their orders the day before of what they would like and then I get it ready for the next day. We have vintage diner dishes that we haul out for extra fun.
