As most of you know The Vegiterranean in Akron closed back in October.

I was at the Mustard Seed restaurant at their Akron location and I ran into Chef Scott. (For those of you who don't know, Chef Scott was the head chef at Vegiterranean and he created the majority of the recipes at Vegiterranean.) I spoke with him and he is now working at the Mustard Seed's restaurant. He said he's in process of revamping the Mustard Seed's menu.

The Mustard Seed already has several Vegan options on their menu, FYI. I don't usually frequent the Mustard Seed's restaurant as it's not a quick place to grab a meal.

I'm hoping he brings a few of Vegiterranean's receipes there. I don't know if he's involved with their Solon location or not, but definitely the Akron location.

This is awesome info! Thank you for sharing it. The Mustard Seed in Solon doesn't even have a restaurant any more. Just a cafe with super quick or prepared food. When the menu in Akron gets shifted around some, we'll be happy to make a trip down there to try it out. Thanks for the heads up.

I went the other night to check things out at the Akron location. There are several items that I recognize from the Vegiterranean's menu making an appearance on the Mustard Seed's new menu.

The service at the Mustard Seed has improved greatly! I was very impressed with the new restaurant staff. I and my friend sat at the bar and we got our food and drinks incredibly quickly.

As to the food itself, I think we're still in the learning curve stage for the cooking staff. The food was good, but it was a bit bland in my opinion. I'm certain it will improve, it was the very first week of the new menu.

I still recommend it tho. It was so very nice to have an array of Vegan options on a menu.

Great to hear that he migrated some of the menu there. We'll give it a bit longer, then maybe make the trek.
