New here...my partner and I are from the South, but currently living in the Northeast through no fault of mine. :) I'm a newbie vegan, and we're about to take a road trip down South to visit family and I was wondering whether there were any awesome recommendations for Atlanta, NOLA, and Alabama (most importantly around Montgomery and Mobile). I'd love to hear of places where I can take my family and not have them run out the door to Five Guys. ;) Thanks!

Atlanta is so easy, but I'm not up on whats exciting right now. I know I'd go to Soul Vegetarian and some vegetarian Chinese restaurants.

Definitely Soul Veg. There's a newish vegan bakery over on Hosea Williams Blvd. called Dulce I'm dying to check out when I go home. Also, Village Pizza in Cabbagetown does vegan pizza, and Homegrown over in Reynoldstown does a peach BBQ sammich I hear is pretty kickass, too.
