I can’t tell you how many doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists and foot specialists I have been to and how much I have spent on orthotics and various types of show inserts (most of which only seem to make things worse).
And shopping for shoes was hard enough before I went vegan- now it’s a major production and huge exercise in frustration. Yeah, this is me. I've seen so many people and had so many inserts made that don't work, even when carved to plastercasts of my feet, I've lost count. It's too frustrating and I'm in so much pain right now. I'm greatful that such things are free here, but frustrated that nothing has been of any bloody use. Bring on the magick foot merging, I say!

At work, I take my shoes off at my desk and usually don't put them back on just to go refill my water bottle at the cooler, which is only a few steps from my desk area. However, I notice that people who see me do this tend to make faces/give me disapproving looks. Just say something to my face, people, bc I can't wait to ask them to point to the nonexistent "No shirt, no shoes, no service" sign.

I have plantar fasciitis and bone spurs on my heels and very flat feet (a result of doing EVERYTHING barefoot for years) and the vegan danskos are AWESOME for work. They help me tons!!! I actually like to use the cheap Dr. Scholls orthotics for extra padding and I rarely have problems anymore

my arches are forked due to my knee issues (my knee cartilage was poorly made) so i have the resulting arch crepe and inner calf pain, etc. also now arriving in Bunion-ville. yuck.
i've found that orthotics help me a lot, and when i do wear shoes, i wear earth vegans, danskos, or the real crocs, which are much better than the fakey ones. but most of the time i am barefoot. i don't run anymore, due to the knee stuff, but when i do exercise i wear sneakers with extra arch supports, and that helps. some shoes just are impossible (those cute rocket dog vegan sneakers, i'm looking at you!)
