We have one here in Columbus, Ohio. I had never been there but I had emailed a year or so ago requesting vegan cheese. They have BBQ tofu, regular tofu and tempeh on their menu so I was thinking vegan cheese would fit in well. I never got an email back. I checked their website this morning and still no vegan cheese. So I emailed again and got a response right back that some locations - Columbus, OH included - have Daiya and that their sauce and pizza dough is vegan.

We had vegan calzones for lunch......so good!!!

I forgot to check if their sub/sandwich bread is vegan or not but conceivably you could get a grilled tofu/tempeh sub with Daiya. If not, vegan pizza and calzones is nothing to complain about. They even have a bar so that score major points with me.

The mellow mushroom in Asheville used cheezly I believe. It was a pretty good pizza although I didn't care for the 'cheese' pizza.

We have one opening up by ASU! I'm kinda stoked to try it.

Ours doesn't have vegan cheese, but their tofu and tempeh subs are really good. It's um, my favorite place to eat out.

Though I think the recipes are more or less the same from restaurant to restaurant, they all use local suppliers. So some places have vegan bread and some places don't. Last I checked, the Austin location didn't have vegan bread, which is a huge bummer because the tempeh sandwich is so good.

has anyone tried their pesto tofu topping? I love pesto and usually don't like tofu, so I'm curious.

For some reason, my local Mellow Mushroom is always out of Daiya when I visit! So now I just bring a bag of Daiya in my purse for them to use.

There was a Mellow Mushroom nearby when I was at a training in South Carolina last month. I wanted to go so bad, but we ended up going to Zpizza, which was pretty good.

I was just coming here to post about Mellow Mushroom. I'm going on vacation next week, and have a menu in front of me, drooling at all the yummy options I have for eating out. Hopefully the one where I'm going has some sort of vegan cheese.

Sweet. I live in Columbus so I'll definitely check it out, but 25.00 for a large pizza? Ouch! Are we talking Adriatico's sized large or what?

oh man. I had mellow mushroom in Austin and WISH they would open a Kansas City location

Ours claims they have vegan cheese, but they never actually have it when you go in (even when you call that same day to make sure that they have it before you go). We gave up on them.
