I feel a little weird posting this, but here goes: My friend's 7-month old daughter, Izzy, has biliary atresia and needs a liver transplant. His sister-in-law organized a fundraiser for the family to help with their expenses. They have a goal of raising $5000 by the end of July and they are so close! If anyone here has a spare $5 or whatever to throw at this, that would be so amazing! Here is lovely Izzy: She's a fighter! Even if you can't donate, please think good thoughts for this sweet baby! I have known her dad my whole life and my heart is just breaking for him and his wife right now. Donation page: http://www.giveforward.com/letsshowizzysomelove

Oh no! Poor sweet baby! Sending tons of good thoughts! I'll donate in the am - she definitely looks like a little fighter and I hope she gets her transplant and heals up fast to go on to have a great life.

Done - what a sweet little girl, and they are so close to their goal! Sending good thoughts as well. I really hope she gets a transplant soon and goes on to a happy and healthy life!

Its awesome. They've exceeded $5,000! I hope they get the $7,000 they need and that Izzy gets her transplant soon. Please keep us posted on her recovery and progress. We're all rooting for her!

You guys are so incredible. I'm really touched that people who don't know this family would be so generous.
Izzy is on dialysis now, which is kind of sad because it means she's doing worse, but it's actually a "good" thing because it moves her up the transplant list. Fingers crossed that she gets her liver soon!
Thank you all for your support. The PPK is the sweetest!

She got her liver!!! I guess the surgery went well, she's being monitored and there'll be a second surgery soon to finish things up. Thank you again to everyone who donated! I know the bills are absolutely outrageous and this will be an enormous help to them. Yay!
