I'll be in Boston for work for a week in early August, all the way from the UK. Can anyone recommend any vegan-friendly restaurants in Back Bay, ideally near the Sheraton and the Boston Park Plaza? Many thanks! :)

For the Sheraton, there's a PF Chang's right near there that has vegan options. Whole Foods, Symphony location, would be about a 10 minute walk away- on Westland Avenue. On Boylston, about the same distance than Whole Foods, there's a Spike's Junkyard Dogs that has vegan hotdogs and fries. There's also a Boloco (burritos) there that has good vegan options. There's also Bukowski's, on Dalton St., that I think still has a vegan meatball sandwich but I haven't been there in a while.
For the Park Plaza, there's also another PF Chang's on Charles St. and a Boloco on the corner of Charles/Boylston. Four Burgers, on Boylston, has a decent vegan burger. My Thai, an all-vegan asian mock meat place, is about a 10 minute walk away, in Chinatown, on Beach St.
I'm sure other people can give more suggestions too, I always suck at remembering what is around.

That's great, thanks! I'm also gluten intolerant, so this should be interesting... I guess I'll be relying on that Whole Foods quite heavily... :-)

You're also about a 10-minute walk away from Addis Red Sea, an awesome Ethiopian place where all the veggie options are vegan. And I think Ethiopian food is pretty gluten-free as a whole.

Supposedly there's a falafel place that's opened up pretty nearby, I'd imagine there's some g/f stuff there, but I don't actually know about that kind of thing really. Sorry.

Do you mean Laffa on St. James Ave.? I just noticed it, but I'm not sure if it's new or I'm just really unobservant. http://www.yelp.com/biz/laffa-boston
