Hello Philadelphia friends and peers,
My name is Craig and I will be speaking in Philadelphia on Tuesday evening August 7th.
The talk is called 'Punk Rock, Mental Illness and Recovery' and it is my recovery story.
I have been involved with the punk community in Boston since the late 80's and I was mentally unhealthy for much of that time. In recent years, I have discovered 'recovery' and I am now working as a peer mental health counselor in Boston.
I am taking my story on the road in hopes to offer support to my peers and to help inspire my peers to embrace recovery and wellness. I suffered for far too many years with the symptoms of mental illness and using substances and I have embraced recovery and my life has improved greatly.
I will be speaking at The Wooden Shoe in Philadelphia on Tuesday August 7th at 7:00 pm.
