I think I need to stay away from the sales for a few days.

So many games... We bought dungeon defenders and another game that was on flash sale (forget the name). My husband refuses to spend more than $4 on a game (preferably under $3) and I'm a bit more flexible but most of the games that I would buy that were more are ones I already own.

The most I've spent so far was $30 for Skyrim. Then $20 for CODBLOPS, then I think $12 for Crysis 2. I'm much stingier when it comes to games I already own, though.

New dailies!
If you've been waiting for ARMA 2, today's the day! 40% off, which brings it down to about $18. This game has been in the top 5 throughout the entire sale. And Torchlight is less than $4! Totally worth it if you want to get ready for Torchlight 2!

My most expensive order was 30$ but every game I've bought has been under 20$ just a lot of them.
Rayman won community choice, new dailys have some gems like indy X which some awesome puzzle titles like the fabulous machinarium. Audio surf is a brilliant game, if only for the wow factor of how different the runways are for each style or song.
Torchlight in on daily, grab it, grab it now!
Prince of Persia is all in for 12.24$, so I'm likely gonna grab the bundle or everything except warrior within which I already have for steam. It works out to actually be cheaper to buy them individually than in the bundle, cause the bundle only marks off 0.24$

Torchlight is one of my favorite games so I totally 2nd that recommendation.
The Indie pack has some good things in it. I really loved Eufloria and highly recommend it and Machinarium is awesome as well.

I bought a Nancy Drew game and the Tropico bundle.
The ND games are fun; nobody laugh at me.

Has anyone gotten the Summer Sale 2012 badge to unlock yet? Maybe I need to wait and vote again after the today's daily sales are posted.

Me neither, so I hope so. A tiny icon that other people can see is serious business!

It's the final day. Sad face.
SPAZ is fun! I've read it's a lot like Star Control 2, which is a game I haven't played much of. If you don't own the Bioshock games yet, they are absolutely worth $5 each! But Bioshock 2 has GFWL DRM, which is a real bummer because it's a very competant sequel. And if you missed the Bastion flash and community sales, you have all day to get it!

SPAZ is mostly like Escape Velocity, an old Mac game.
I just finished Spec Ops: The Line, and I think I can recommend it for what it tries to do (and mostly succeeds at).

Yuh.
Now I have to decide what to play, although Spec Ops is kind of a fast track to burnout.
I drove trains around last night. Annoyingly, the Acela track only goes from Philly to NYC. Screw that, I wanted to drive to Boston!

The ND games are really just a kill time thing, unless you are 12. When I'm in the mood, they can be a fun little escape for a couple hours. The games since Scarlet Hand are mostly the best, but quality is a bit uneven. Shadow Ranch wasn't too great, and I never finished Secret of the Old Clock. I think the ones I got are the tornado one and the Waters Edge one. My all time favorite game is Claw. I loved that game so much. I miss scrollers.

Casual/adventure games?
Botanicula is AWESOME. I'm really enjoying it. It has tough (but usually not painfully tough) puzzles, cool art, lovely music... This is one where I can already tell that I'll miss it when I finish it...

Yeah, but as a nice send-off, Jade Empire is today's daily deal! I haven't played it by most accounts say it's one of Bioware's most underrated games.
Oh and before anyone loses sleep over it, I got my Summer Sale 2012 badge. YEAH

I made the mistake earlier today of trying to total up what me and MBM spent on this sale. I didn't get all the way through because I was trying to do it on my phone at work but it's a ludicrous total. Worth it!

It's like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, except set in Chinese mythology. It's less statistically intense than most RPGs and it might be a little more action-y due to a fist-fighting combat system, but supposedly the writing and characters are fantastic. It's definitely a setting that isn't explored often, and done so by a top shelf developer.
The two big complaints I can find is that it's short (relative to RPGs) and easy. Those are rarely negatives that I hold against a game.

I spent $35 on the last day buying whatever I really wanted, i'm not sure how many games I got because I got 3 or 4 packs, but...12? I think.
Also Brian got Skyrim, and even at half off that's got to be a large chunk.
