Just bought a ticket to see Amanda Palmer at Oran Mor again in October. Yay!

Morrissey is playing a show in the apartheid state of Israel. I will not be going.. http://www.counterpunch.org/2012/07/19/morrisseys-apartheid-shame/. Jerusalem's been through too much already. It's like adding Morrissey to injury.

Went to see Death Cab For Cutie and Surfer Blood tonight. They did not disappoint. Ben Gibbard is surprisingly intense on stage.

I'm seeing At the Drive-In on Friday and I'm fairly certain I'm going to cry and make a scene. And then about an hour after that, I'll get my shiitake together and go see Explosions in the Sky.

I'm going to see Fiona Apple this weekend. It's in Oakland, and I'm going alone, so it's going to be kind of expensive and a pain in the asparagus to get there, but hopefully it will be worth it.

I'm going to see all the rad bands from Rock n' Roll Camp for Girls L.A. on Saturday. I can't wait! It's my first time volunteering at camp and my niece's first time attending, so far it has been nothing short of amazing.

the drummer is an old, old friend, which is the #1 reason why i am trekking to possibly my least favorite 'hood to catch them.

I saw Jay Brannan last night! I was in the front row directly in front of him. I even left some space between myself and the stage so it didn't feel like I was crowding him. OMG He opened the show with a breathtaking a capella rendition of Alanis Morissette's Your House. The whole house went silent. And after the show he tweeted back at me saying thanks for coming. I can't.

I don't know him personally, but I love every band he's been involved with and follow his blog regularly. Missed them in Cleveland due to it being a Sunday night and having to get up for work at 6 am.

Obituary. Sept. 16th. Either I've never seen them, or it was so long ago I have no memory. Either way, they are playing the classics this tour and I'm really looking forward to it.
