Just so we can separate it out a bit.
I plan on making Chili for Saturday night (as usual).
Today, I bought some chips/snacky things that I plan on bringing as well as some nuts to snack on. I also bought some hot dogs for grilling. We can always buy things in town we need but if anyone wants to make something, let us know.
So far the plan is:
Friday lunch: TBD/picnic lunch at campground? Friday night: Rosetta's Saturday breakfast: TBD (I have cereal and soy milk) Saturday lunch: Picnic lunch at campground. Saturday dinner: TBD/dinner at campground Sunday breakfast: TBD Sunday lunch: TBD Sunday dinner: TBD Monday 'brunch': Rosetta's (We'll be leaving town earlish but I imagine we can have lunch in town right when Rosetta's opens?)
(Vantine, you leaving Sunday morning?)

We need to have a pie iron meal. If someone reminds me, I can bring a pie iron. Is Friday coming? I would like to do a savory breakfast one day. Maybe we can pick up some tofu for a scramble?
I am leaving Monday morning.

Woo! Food! I have never had a pie iron, so that is exciting. I haven't even begun to think about food yet, so I'm so glad you started this thread. I definitely plan to bring lots of toddler-friendly snacks, and some desserty things for sharing. Tofu scramble sounds like a win.
Also, what day are you arriving, linanil? We are coming in on Thursday, but I'm not sure what we're planning for dinner that day. Probably just picnic stuff I guess, since I'm not sure how long it will take us to setup. We are leaving on Monday, but in no hurry to head out, so would almost certainly be in for brunch before we go.

Also, didn't someone (lycophyte?) say that Amazing Savings has Dandies? I can bring other s'mores makings if you want.

We won't be around until probably 11pm on Thursday so we'll be hotel/moteling it. Last year, we got to the northern part of Asheville around 11pm and stopped in a hotel. We'll be coming to the campsite early Friday, I think Lila would be the same.

Are we doing tater pigs one night? Maybe Friday if lycophyte can camp with us? I can't bring anything with me but I can buy some stuff like potatoes once in town. If we do cold salad type stuff we usually have enough to share for a couple of lunches.

tater pigs Friday night, savoury breakfast Saturday morning, light picnic camp lunch on Saturday, Rosetta's Monday early lunch as we leave? We could all convene at Rosetta's on Friday for early lunch and then caravan to the campsite and get set up and go swimming in the lake on Friday afternoon. We can't go to the camp too early on Friday anyway.

I like the plan that is coming together. We could do pie irons on Sunday night if lycophyte will be there then?
I'm trying to think of what I can make to bring that will survive the trip. Would muffins last for a few days? Otherwise, I'll also be looking to buy produce and stuff there to contribute. I'm thinking salads and foil veggie packets and corn on the cob and such to have as sides with the dinners. I can definitely bring chocolate for s'mores.
I can't buy any snacks to bring until the last minute because I will eat them.

I wouldn't worry too much about bringing muffins or anything. We can pick stuff up in Asheville.

Muffins would last for a couple of days. Grain/veggie salads tend to do well even if not well insulated.

I am creepering, just to say everything sounds so amazing, and I still have the nicest memories of seeing Pandacookie in Rosetta's. I am so happy for all of you and the awesome weekend of awesomeness that awaits!

I will bring chickpea tomato salad and maybe another salad. I am bringing TobyFood because he doesn't eat normal food. We can pick up Cheerwine and other stuffs while we are there. If we are going to meetup at Rosettas, we can stop at the co-op or AS for supplies, right?

Rosetta's lunch @ 11am on Friday (that is when they open), then a little shopping, then back to campground. Sounds like a plan :)

I plan on bringing a quinoa salad and cookies for general sharing for sure, not sure what else yet. What can I bring to contribute to the tater pigs and savory breakfast?

I suck at things like tofu scramble, but would anyone be interested in corn cakes to go with the savory breakfast? Or I can do tempeh bacon or something like that?
