Go! i was thinking the same thing. except for the apostrophe. unless the vegan item in question is in the possessive, which probably wouldn't happen.)

Go! If I remember correctly the book got this title not because other books have a similar one but because at one point in the book the authors talk about how sandwiches are superheroes and therefore save the day. Plus, often the publisher decides about the title and not the authors.

Mine shipped! All I ever crave at work is sandwiches, and my coworkers are always eating sandwiches from this great nearby cafe that is unfortunately kind of boring for vegans (all the veggies, good bread, but just mustard for spread). I can't wait to bring in the most amazing sandwiches for my lunch.
myzoetrope--I hope your adorable happy sandwich made the book! :)

I really want to add this to my cookbook collection. I like that a lot of the sandwiches don't have meat substitutes (the Chazwhich!). I love grilled zucchini, why have I never put it on bread?!

I don't want to wait any more! Everything Celine touches turns to delicious in my opinion so will most definitely be adding this to my collection!

Just got the copy today from Amazon.com First look - it's awesome. The recipes sound mouthwatering, the pictures are lovely, and the whole thing is just put together so well. Looking forward to cooking with this book.

Hi Guys! I'm super excited to see how enthusiastic you are about the book. We put a ton of love into this one. More like tons. I shouldn't speak for Celine, but we really hope you love it, too.
Keep in mind that a lot of the sandwich components (such as dressings/sauces/fillings) can be made ahead of time. That should simplify things some... but if you think about the very best sandwiches you've ever had, I'd guess they took a few parts to make the 'whole' so incredible. Still, some of the sandwiches can be made really quickly.
We wanted to put our very best, most creative ideas into the book. Try one, and you'll try more. Keep an eye out for contests, too....they'll be coming!

So, while I'm sure the sandwiches, in and of themselves, are wonderful... is there much in the book for making sandwiches the night before to take to work and sit in your bag all day wrapped in clingfilm waiting to be eaten (and never heated up)? I don't know about others, but I would but rarely make an actual sandwich of a day off. To my mind they are a thing to make the night before and pack for lunch the next day...

We have tons of portable sandwiches in there, and they are marked with a little lunch box. We also have tips so you don't end up with a soggy sandwich, and things like that.
I'm going to leave this thread alone so you guys will feel most comfortable saying what you like and don't, but if anybody needs an answer to something, please give me a heads up.
Thanks again for the support and enthusiasm. <3 the PPK!

Just came in the mail! So excited. It all looks delectable. Trying to decide what to make for lunch next week. Right now it's between the Mediterranean Tempeh Sandwiches, the Chickpea Bacon Peanut Butter Sandwiches, and the Ethiopian wraps. Testers: any thoughts?
I do have one small criticism from a few short flip-throughs, and this may be a publishing error. Some of the long ingredient lists appear under the heading "spread and sandwiches," while others appear under separate headings for "spreads" and "sandwiches." For the former, some of the directions for "make the spread" say "combine all ingredients" or something like that, but if you keep reading to the sandwich assembly directions, it's clear that some of the ingredients from the whole list aren't supposed to be blended in. The Peppery Tempeh Sandwiches on p. 127 are an example.
Also, I've never seen creamed coconut. Can canned coconut milk be substituted?
