oh man, i really want to see Moonrise Kingdom. my spouse isn't a fan of Wes Anderson films, but i'm thinking of having a date night with myself soon & seeing it!

last week i saw Lars and the Real Girl. it was pretty good!

I haven't seen all of his movies. But the ones that I have seen I really liked.

Lars is good too! I saw that in the movies when it came out. Another movie where RG sings!

I also watched Wanderlust and Contagion this weekend.

Wanderlust was well worth watching. Paul Rudd is funny! And Jennifer Aniston was tolerable, and took her top off, but they managed to cleverly blur it out with some movie magic and cutting to a new scene. Still a funny movie.

Contagion was meh. Not the best plague/virus movie ever. Could have been better. But at least Gwyneth was dead for the whole thing. That's a plus in my book.

Easy A. Not as good as Mean Girls out of 10.

Awwww, I loved Easy A! That sunshine song gets super stuck in my head.

Yeah I thought Easy A was perfection! And better than Mean Girls, though the only thing I really loved from that was 'Danny DeVito I love your work!'

I liked Easy A as well. But nowhere near as much as I love Mean Girls.

Whores Glory: Good documentary on 3 different brothels around the world (mexico, sri lanka, thailand), Interesting to see the difference. Depressing (how I like my entertainment for some reason)

still not sure how I feel about this one; it was just ok -- I liked the similarly themed 'Defiance' much better.
It doesn't help that after I watched it, I googled it and it seems that the BBC did an investigation and can find almost no truth to the story....

The Flight of the Phoenix, not really my type of movie, but I love Jimmy Stewart, so I'm trying to watch all his movies.

This week me and Aegishjalmur saw Moon, Monsters and Brave. :) Enjoyed all of them.

still trying to finish the AFI top 100 list, I watched Do the right thing. The message was good, but the characters were very annoying to me, and the screaming was too much.

GP dying was the whole reason I even watched Contagion.

Batman (1989) - Jack Nicholson is still awesome. Michael Keaton is a great Batman, not a very good Bruce Wayne. I do love this Alfred morethan the Nolan Alfred, too.
Men in Black - Just as good as I remembered. Even though the movie is already 15 years old, the only thing dated about it is Will Smith's clothing.

Oooooh I saw Woman in Black too. Soooo good, I was pleased. My friend saw this in London in the play form. She said the movie was better. But I would have loved to have seen this acted out on stage.

I liked it as well, although I wish so many people wouldn't have told me it was super scary. Maybe I'm just desensitized , but I saw all the jumpy moments coming and usually just laughed. I think a stage version would be really cool though. And now I want to see the original version, but used copies are going for unheard of amounts of money, so I don't think it's going to happen.

High Heels - It was a little weird, but it was alright. Not one of Almodovar's best, but certainly not his worst.

I feel the opposite way about Christian Bale, ok as Bruce Wayne - ridiculous as batman. Seriously the voice destroyed the films for me. Michael Keaton is still my favourite Batman.

I tried to watch Half Nelson and J Edgar last week but both were so freaking boring I only managed about half an hour of each.

Agreed. I don't even know the word to describe Bale's Batman voice. Guttural? Seriously annoying.

A lot of that is done post-production so don't blame Bale for it!

Incendie - French Canadian film about twins looking for the brother they never knew they had and the father they thought was dead after their mother's death. It's good, but it's forked up.

I watched Law Abiding Citizen. It was pretty good.
