Does anyone use a facial moisturizer they like that is really cheap? When I say really cheap I mean like around/under $10 USD for an ounce or more.
I've been using a moisturizer for a long while that is not fully vegan (contains honey) and would like to switch to something fully vegan. Unfortunately I'm a bit broke at the moment, hence the $10 price range. I want something that is fairly moisturizing but won't make my skin freak out or break out. I'm female, 30-ish, and I would describe my skin as "combination", though it's definitely more prone to dryness than oiliness. Something that could be found easily in a drugstore or heath food store would be even more ideal. Any suggestions?

I third the TJ one. I use it at night - it feels good, not to light or heavy!

If you are into ordering from Etsy , this is 10$ for 4oz , I just got some a week ago and it's really nice. I'm a greasy on the t-zone , flaky elsewhere 30-something lady. This is nice, calmed down my dry parts without breaking me out. http://www.etsy.com/listing/80285185/ve ... sturizer-4

CVS pharmacy doesn't do animal testing on their store brand products, and I use their version of Olay sensitive skin moisturizer. It costs under $5 and doesn't appear to contain any animal based ingredients.

I have seriously sensitive, acne prone skin and find that argan oil (expensive) or jojoba oil (cheap! esp at trader joes) works best for me. In the day I use Avalon Organics spf moisturizer, which is like $12 for 4 oz and lasts about 3 months.

I got Beauty Without Cruelty Daily Facial Lotion (4 oz) from iherb for $8 something. Of course, you have to pay shipping on that, but for orders over $20 in the US shipping is free, so if you needed anything else from the website (they've got lots of vegan goodies and vitamin supplements), that would cancel out.

Coconut Oil or jojoba oil are really good moisturizers even for oily skin. They're also really inexpensive.

I am already ordering from iHerb about once a month, so I'm not too worried about finding stuff to bring an order up to $20. :) Would you say that the BWC lotion is good for dry skin? Right now it's not a huge issue, but once the winter comes and all the radiators are cranked up my skin is going to dry right up.

Good question, Limone. My skin definitely gets drier in the winter months, but I just started using the BWC stuff a month or so ago, so I'm not sure how it will perform in the winter. It feels like it should be moisturizing enough, though. I like it too because it's got SPF 15.

strawberryrock wrote: Earth Science Almond Aloe is cheap. After reading a bunch of reviews I ended up trying this one, with SPF. So far I think it's OK! It's not super-duper heavy, which is good for a moisturizer containing SPF, although I don't know if this would work well for someone with very dry skin. It has a strong almond smell, which personally I'm cool with, but if you're sensitive to scents you'll probably hate it. It doesn't seem to make my skin break out (so far). This is only really suitable for daytime use in my opinion, what with the SPF and all, so I'm still using up my old moisturizer as a night cream. After that's gone I'm not sure what I'll try. Maybe jojoba oil!

I like the Yes to line. (Yes to Cucumbers, Yes to Blueberries, or Yes to Tomatoes depending on your skin type.) Same recommendation for cleanser.

The TJ antioxidant moisturizer is not vegan! They took the label off I assume due to D3 that I did not notice. :/

I bought it when it still had the vegan label and was dumb enough to trust them and didn't read it myself. D3 I could deal with, but not silk. Nasty. I wonder if I can return it... don't think I have the receipt anymore. ETA: It also has soluble collagen in it. Gross.

You can return things without receipts for store credit. Even if it were half used, just return it and tell them why. Doesn't hurt for them to know people are returning things because they were mislabeled.

Took 2 bottles of the TJ stuff back - no problems at all, even on the month old one!

I know this is a little late, but I'm sure other people need moisture! I just bought Aubrey Organics Vegecol with Aloe moisturizer for sensitive skin, because that was the best-looking cheapish thing at my local natural foods store. So far so good - doesn't smell weird or feel greasy, and my face definitely feels better!
