Does any one want stuff from the PDX area? I will have some limited room in my carry on bags for treats, although I can't think of anything you can't get on the eats coast. I'm going to try to bring a batch of cookies but I may not have room to bring any food, I'm still figuring out my packing situation.

Any ideas how many people we'll have for the breakfast? And I still don't know what to contribute to the tater pigs, but I guess I can help buy stuff once we're there?

We should have 11 for breakfast, that is including your family.

We will also have opportunities to bring things.

I have 2 packs of lightlife hotdogs that we can use. I can also make chili on tater pig night if we want? Although we'll probably have enough food based on whatever sides people bring/make.

How do people feel about mellow mushroom on Saturday night, followed by Hop ice cream? A Mr. Johnp will be in town and I have to see him. I have also requested cookies and soy cream Saturday night. We don't all have to go.

Also, would people be down for tubing on Sunday? An early lunch of leftovers/sides/etc and then tubing and then pie iron pies and leftovers, etc for dinner Sunday night?
How many people have pie irons? I know Carol's melted last year but someone bought at least 1.

I feel like we always end up with a lot of leftover food, so maybe if we buy as we go this time? There is an Ingles not far from campground and I think we'll be in town enough to grab stuff as needed.

Is someone bringing a roll of foil? Paper towels? I'm happy to purchase those when I get to town. if not, I can grab some potatoes for the tater pigs. I like a chili on the potatoes and then we could just eat all the sides/salads people are bringing for lunch on Saturday and Sunday? Quick stuff so we can frolic in nature during the day?
Poopie, we'll need graham crackers for smores if you want to bring those. I think lycophyte got the dandies and someone metioned bringing chocolate.

I may have to just buy graham crackers once we get there, because I just got home from the store and now have to spend the next 24 hours filling a massive dessert order and caring for a toddler and getting ready to leave tomorrow night (whew! I can't wait for this vacation!).

I have paper towels and foil although I think for tater pigs, we need the strong foil. I was going to try to buy some but haven't had a chance. It is something we can buy there though. We also have a pie iron. Not sure if Vantine has one too?

I super puffy heart love Mellow Mushroom. I will bring my pie iron, a few big bowls, my frying pan that linanil wanted to steal and some dish size towels.
I will try to bring extra blankets, pillows, and bathing towels as well.

Mellow Mushroom and ice cream and tubing all sound great. I actually picked up heavy duty foil today. I'll bring garbage bags too.

I have a dozen almond double chocolate chip cookies, some date and coconut granola bars and some chocolate chip peanut granola bars from the test kitchen that will fly with me tomorrow. There may significantly fewer by the time I arrive but I will do my best!

So we went to pick up the veganstock mobile today and... it had leather seats. Mr nil and I both looked at it and asked if it was leather and they said yes. Luckily, the guy working there was nice and understood when we said we didn't want leather so we hunted down one with cloth seats. I never even thought about that being an issue with a rental.

Strap that banner to the back! The Veganmobile will roll!

I don't actually have the dandies, but they will be out on the floor by Friday. They hadn't unpacked them from the warehouse yet. So, someone will need to get them @ Amazing Savings because I didn't as they were still away. I got a new pie iron too!

For savory breakfast I have my faux omelet mix. Also be aware that Mellow Mushroom is apparently more corporate now (always a chain but their corporate overlords have smacked down for uniformity apparently) so its not as exciting as it once was. Also, the tempeh is now marinated in honey, or at least it was a few months ago so if you care about that be sure to ask. F-em.

Has anyone heard of some new(ish) place called Plant? Some friends of mine were in Asheville last month and said it was really good.

Yeah! I've gone there twice. Its pricy, but I liked what I got more than stuff I got @ Laughing Seed.
