Totally been on the childcare worker side of "Don't tell the daycare that your kids have autism!" Fun times.

My Mom bit me for biting one of my cousins. Yeah, not saying this was a good thing, although supposedly I never did bite again? I wasn't a baby though, probably a toddler. I've heard of this happening to other children, too. Nuts.

Oh, for the love of jeebus, don't read the comments! I did and 90% of them are about how you need to spank kids or they'll rule the roost.

One of the PTs where I did therapy for my knee was 9 months preg and told me that the minute the kid was born she was going into the nursery down the hall (not in their bedroom) bc there was no way her baby was going to be a spoiled brat like her sister's and expect that all her needs would be taken care of immediately.
I am pretty much 1000% sure that she is laughing at herself now that she has had the kid.

The one about how crying is good for babies, because it exercises their lungs -- someone told my mother that when my older sister was born. I think it was supposed to make parents feel like they weren't failures if their kids cried, but my sister was a relatively mellow baby who just didn't cry too much, and my mother worried that her lungs weren't getting enough exercise.
