I get to swim tonight in an outdoor salt water Olympic sized pool. So excited! It will be a coached workout so no playing, but it still feel like a bit of a treat.

Coach T actually took it sort of easy on us, lots of drills (which are kind of un-fun, but whatevs.) I've gained speed on one of my Ironman-doin' teammates so I was tickling her feet all night until we got the lane order worked out, so woo! And when we were done we all went down the waterslide like the big kids that we are.

This morning I did a 5.6 mile trail run, part of which was AT the beach. Love the smell of the NW beaches! Stellar day for such a scenic run.

I had a run around the house while eating my pancakes this morning to stop the dog eating them.
I also begrudgingly brought said dog for an hour long walk in the woods. Cardio exercise was also had by convincing myself that this man was following me around the woods.

i did some yoga this morning, strength training planned for this afternoon, and hoping the humidity is a little less awful so i can take a couple of long walks with the dog. we're both getting a little stir crazy, but it's just been too hot to go outside for more than a few minutes at a time.

Went on an 11 mile bike ride today. Got caught in a thunder storm half way out so stopped for a drink in a cafe to let it pass. It didn't improve much so had to cycle home in it. The cycle path was like a river. Unbelievable! I was soaked down to my bones but it was very invigorating.

yoga, cardio, and a longish dog walk. i'm so glad the humidity has broken a bit for a couple days. all of us really needed to get out of the house.

This! I hibernate in the summer because of this stupid never-ending humidity and am totally stir crazy at this point. When I'm forced to be outside, all I want to do is hide in the shade. I've been doing yoga inside and managed to survive playing soccer with the kids this evening. Still suffocating hot, but manageable.

Yesterday I ran for an hour and did 3 sets of 8 assisted pull-ups... with 140 lbs of assistance (I weigh 190 and have meager upper body strength.. my goal is to do at least one pull-up) PonyPal wrote: 17mins of sprints, some weights, some pushups. Ran hills (shortened length after a week off because of unknown ankle pain, possibly/probably tendonitis or something similar) and biked to work!
