This is hilarious and shocking. This commercial was on national tv in Singapore, to spur some good ol' babymaking to attack the low birth rate.

To be a fly on the wall when this "commercial" was presented for approval.

I also couldn't get past the amusement that getting knocked up isn't quite that easy...fertility is such a small window, so in reality they would do better with a month or at least a week. Because what proportion of people can actually get pregnant on one specific day? Unless...they are evil geniuses and realize no one will have sex that day because the government said so, so they'll spend the other 30 days in August having lots of, um, fireworks, thereby increasing actual baby making by a ton.

Also, 1984. Our duty to the party. Just sayin'.

This is... well, whit?! I have always found 'baby drives' kinda, well, I don't know even. I tried to quickly google to find more proof of this but came up blank: when I was in high school we were told of a country that had posters encouraging people to procreate with the promise of a new radio as a 'reward'- apparently the advertisement was "Father, Mother, Brother, Sister... Transistor!" Does anyone else remember that? We were taught that at the same time as about the former USSR "Mother Heroine" medals which were definitely a thing.

Lets....manufacture....life? Weaksauce, man! Anything this weird, I'm not sure if I can trust. These babies would (should) all be born in the beginning of May, which is solid, but why do they want a nation full of Tauruses? I smell a conspiracy. hahah!

I'm kinda surprised all the right wingers who are afraid that one day whites will be the minority in the states haven't thought of this yet.
