It was actually quite tasty and VERY filling. This has a good chance of being my new favorite breakfast for a while. I'm going to cook up a big batch and keep it in the fridge.
You can definitely taste that it's tvp not oats, but tvp and sweet flavorings go together much better than you might expect. This would be really good with some raisins or apples, but even without it's surprisingly good. I'm going to try this with half tvp and half oats. Bobs Red Mill also makes soy grits, which have even more protein than tvp - 19 grams per serving.

Someone should make this cookbook - it's not a diet I would normally follow but during pregnancy I was supposed to be eating fairly high protein (>65g/day, Bradley class tells people to eat something crazy like 100g).

It doesn't look all that different from a 'normal' cookbook. It would have been nice if they took the trouble to list the nutrition values.

Ugh, I hate cookbooks with a black background. I refuse to buy them.
Also my high protein recipe - Soyrizo, mixed with extra firm tofu, mix with a bit of greens (kale is my go to), stir in bowl, cook in microwave, done.

What an interesting cookbook. I rely heavily on legumes for my protein and less-so soy. Feel free to check out my blog for the recipes. They are usually 30% protein.
