Randi, I had a vanilla and it was a thick shake! I saw somebody get a half vanilla shake-half banana whip with raspberries on top and I thought that was pretty genious.

I got the Chocolate and the Orange Cream. They were both good. $5 is a bit steep, but then again I'm also not used to paying Rittenhouse Square area prices!

Got a banana whip today, with some brownie crumbles on top. Pretty freakin' yummy, filling treat for an overcast day.

Oh, and I'm seriously in love with like half of their staff. So many sweet baaaaaabes. I haven't seen Lolli in a while, though. I must crave that green lemonade on her days off. :/

I had the steak sandwich the first week they were open. I thought it was a bit small for the price...but they got a lot of feedback in the beginning and that might have changed? Well, I've been thinking about trying it again. As a Philadelphia vegan, I feel that I should be very familiar with all vegan cheesesteaks. At this point, I think Blackbird's version might still win because I love the tender homemade seitan they use. I really want to re-try some of the sandwiches that initially didn't wow me, but I'm a wimp and am kind of afraid to. Might just stick with the Crispy Ranch, unless someone convinces me otherwise.

I went to HipCity again today. I had a long day at work and couldn't resist, I had to try the Orangesicle shake. It was very orange zest-y. A very yummy, not-too-heavy treat.

me too. anyone wanna comment if it's worth the toll money?

sucks this place just opened right when I graduated. could have easily stopped by on the way from the patco many times.

the shakes sound soooo good!!

i think it is worth the toll money if you go all-out. you've got to get a sandwich, fries*, and a shake or green lemonade. maybe a banana whip with cookies or fruit on top. find a nice spot to eat in rittenhouse. do a little reading and people-watching. worth it.

*i haven't had the fries because i'm a sweet potato-hater, but it sounds like they are a very popular item.

I pay for the train 5 days a week, so I'm not gonna pay a bridge toll on the weekends unless I HAVE to. Every week I say I'm going to take a walk over and grab lunch or just a milkshake but I haven't been able to yet. You would think I could take a lunch break and walk a few blocks for some good vegan food. But no, I am chained to my desk forever.

I happened to be in the rittenhouse area and I stopped in for lunch! I had the burrito-thing with avocado/tofumeat/salsa.... It was delicious. I ate it all up. They also satisfied my ever-present cupcake craving.. Soooo good.

I went yesterday because my husband and I were in the city for another reason and I got hungry. I got the ranch chicken sandwich and the green lemonade. The sandwich was very big, which made me happy. Then I couldn't leave without a vanilla shake. I enjoyed it all and would definitely go back.

I am now madly in love with this place. I got the udon noodle salad. The person who took my order was like, "Oooooh, good choice!" They weren't kidding! I'm pretty sure this was the best salad I have ever eaten in all my salad-eating years, which are quite many. I want to eat here every day of my life now. Too bad (or, good thing, for my bank account...) I don't live close enough to do it. Seriously.
