Still I am also addicted to the show- mostly because of Michael C. Hall who continues to be amazing regardless.
This. It's definitely a weaker season, but he continues to act the shiitake out of it. I'm fully invested in the character of Dexter, even if the show isn't up to par.

I'm going to say it: I don't like Julia Stiles' character. Her reactions seems very unnatural, given what she's been through. Plus she's only going to get Dexter into trouble. And yes, they're probably going to end up being together because she's supposedly just as damaged as Rita was. Not too sure about this season.

I agree with everything being said here. The last episode just dragged, things are disconnected and not making sense. There were so many holes with the whole 'guy in the warehouse and oh noes, Deb is coming' thing. I just kind of sat there irritated, like 'I'm probably supposed to be tense about this but it's just stupid and we know Dexter is going to be fine, stop treating me like an idiot'.
And Deb just annoys me more and more. One day I'd like to see her in a scene with a new guy and not immediately know that they're going to have sex at some point.

I feel like I don't even have anything to say about this show anymore, and it's making me sad. Last night's episode wasn't horrible but this season is just plodding along and I don't care about any of the plotlines.

I was really drawn in by a couple of the episodes--- especially 6. It can't compare to season 4, but I'm enjoying it. I thought last night's was good... the club scene and the accident were pretty intense. I think by adding in another character who's been forked up by a specific traumatic event, they risk letting her steal some of Dexter's thunder, but so far they've done a good job of avoiding that. I'm not too annoyed by what's her name and kind of think she and Dexter are cute in a sick way.
I am still hopeful (maybe it wishful thinking) that maybe this season will actually go somewhere.
Right now the only story line I am interested in (and I hope that it doesn't fizzle out into nothing) is..... I still have a weird feeling about that nanny.
I did enjoy Masuka's gesticulations at the warehouse scene, though
masuka is this season's saving grace. i totally dug his tat.

I've never liked Masuka. He's just too crass. I know he's written that way, but I don't like people like that in real life either, so I can't really appreciate him as a character.

Am I really supposed to believe Eli Stone is a bad guy?! I can't take him seriously after watching him dance around with Victor Garber.
i've never watched him in anything else. i think he plays a pretty convincing evil dude.

i just watched the newest episode. that last scene makes me feel so scared for dexter. everything is starting to get tangled and complicated now... this guy is on to dexter... because of quinn... who deb is falling in love with. this is the dexter i know and love.

I feel like he's going to have to kill Quinn, and the guy who's snooping, except unlike with Doakes I wouldn't be even a little bit sad to see him go. The Deb thing does complicate the situation.
