This is Hero, she was saved from the Dog Meat Trade in Thailand. She was on a truck with tons of other dogs headed to Vietnam to become meat. She flies into Boston August 18th and comes home with me that night!   The wonderful woman behind GIVE a Dog a Bone uses all of the proceeds from her dog treats to help transport dogs being saved and fostered by the Soi Dog Foundation from Thailand to Boston to be adopted locally <3 <3

I am so excited! I have been bursting at the seams with emotion the past two days. I was thinking of changing her name but a few minutes ago i was thinking about everything she has been through in her short life already and what her future could've been and the flood gates opened, i was crying like a little girl. She truly is a hero and very deserving of the name.

I remember traveling through North Vietnam and seeing trucks with dogs on them headed to slaughter, and it was insanely sad. So happy Hero has a happy ending!

I contacted GADAB when I saw pictures of Hero and she had already been planning on having her fly here August 18th from Thailand but was still looking for a home for her. Hero has been settling in perfectly with Daine and Gizmo wonderfully! We are all so happy to have her, she is such a little love! Here are a few pics :)  All 3 of my babies running together at the park!  5 minutes after we met!
