So I'm talking to my father who said that his friend put a book about their collective experience in Vietnam! I can't find it on the internet, my google skills are failing me. I would greatly appreciate your help in finding this. The author is "Bill Roderick" who was studying to be a monk (in south carolina?) before joining the service. David Douglas Duncan wrote the preface.

Sorry can't find anything! I found a book that had some info about Bill Roderick but that was all.

I tried doing an advanced search on bookfinder.com, but the only thing that came up author Roderick keyword Vietnam was an Australian photo book from 1971, and I thought that probably wasn't it.

This is a long shot, but I googled "William Roderick Vietnam" and found this:

In the very last line, it says:
"Project Delta, Detachment B-52. Reconnaissance Operations throughout Viet Nam. Areas of operation were 30 to 35 minutes by helicopter from our temporary base camps. This Unit is written about in the book, Ether Zone by R. C. Morris."

Could that be it? It says the author "was commissioned by the Project Delta members to write their story."
