I just realized that I haven't even done my homework on the new shows, so i'm reading up on them now. As usual, most of them sound awful but a blurb has led me astray before.
Returning shows:
The Office (power through) Modern Family New Girl Supernatural Castle Bones Up All Night Raising Hope Don't Trust The B Big Bang Theory
The only show i'm giving the finger to is Glee. I will catch up on Netflix when I am bored. There are also some shows I can't watch because they won't stream them and I don't have cable.
These are the new shows that already have a page and trailer up on hulu so I can definitely say i'll be able to watch them and hopefully they won't blow:
Revolution (Jericho 2.0 with Gus from Breaking Bad!) The New Normal (it's already been boycotted by One Million Moms, by Ryan Murphy) 666 Park Avenue (creepy looking, Terry O'Quinn) Animal Practice (this is probably going to be awful but there's a god damn monkey) Last Resort (lots of familiar faces, looks Lost-ish)
Elementary and Vegas, provided that CBS puts the episodes online. Why does CBS hate hulu so much?

Elementary definitely has the greatest title. It's so simple yet perfect! I'm excited for The New Normal. And Community I can't wait for, though I'm nervous.

If it's being boycotted by One Million Moms then it might actually be good.

mine looks similar to mbm's
returning: modern family grimm new girl supernatural bones up all night once upon a time
new stuff: revolution new normal 666 park avenue last resort elementary
i'm not sure when american horror story comes back, but i think it's a fall show. i need to look that up.
also, there are things that have awkward seasons that don't really fall into a particular season perfectly like pretty little liars, destination truth (guilty pleasure), haven, and psych.

Didn't care about either the Office or Glee last season; still not caring.
Will be watching:
Fringe Dr Who Parks & Recreation 30 Rock (although that one's probably on the way out too) Portlandia Walking Dead My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic WITH THE CHILD but I might as well mention it Futurama (already on, actually) Venture Bros. (assuming it actually is coming on, I know it's supposed to be soon) Downton Abbey (coming soon too, I guess?)

I'm pretty boring and mostly stick to HBO/Showtime series. This also keeps TV days down to one or two, which is helpful. So far for me it will be:
Dexter Boardwalk Empire Homeland (I can't believe I got into this show...totally not my thing, but it was so incredibly well done!) Grimm (maybe. I'm still not sure if I like it.) Breaking Bad (though it started in the summer...does it still count?) Walking Dead
So far I think that's it, but I must look into the 666 thing and any show that is boycotted by moms. I'll be pretty busy with school so I really don't have time to watch much, so if anything starts to blow I'll probably drop it all quick like. Looking at my list, I"m not sure how I'll have time for those, either.
edited to add The Office and 30 Rock. Damn TV sucking me in already.

Yeah, i'm not counting things that start at an odd time, like PLL or The Lying Game, and since I don't have cable I kind of try to pretend i'm not missing things like Breaking Bad (isn't it on its last season?) and Mad Men. I also had trouble finding a list of the shows that are lined up to be mid-season replacements for all of the shows that I like that will be canceled. Last year, hulu had a guide on their site with a video trailer all on one page, this time I had to go to the tv guide website, search for the show on hulu...pain in the balls. Also, how could I forget THE MINDY PROJECT. I am watching the shitballs out of that. Also the first episode of Animal Practice is already on hulu so i'm going to get that over with.

I am annoyed at the idea of Elementary, but they were filming some part of it down the block from me, so I'm curious!
30 Rock Parks and Rec Up All Night Castle Bob's Burgers Bones Mindy Project Parenthood (even though I kind of hate myself for it) Animal Practice (I only heard about it from this thread, but I totally want to watch a vet show!) New Girl (maybe. I got into it at the end of last season, so I might watch it.)
Haven Switched at Birth Psych (when the hell is it coming back? omg cliffhanger!) Warehouse 13 (on right now) Leverage (on right now) Walking Dead (comes back in October) Doctor Who (starts next week, I think!)

I probably won't watch anything new. I have enough shows already.
Dexter Modern Family Parks and Rec The Office (sigh) Boardwalk Empire The Walking Dead Homeland Portlandia
I think that's it. And Game of Thrones, but that won't be back for a while, I guess.

Returning: American Horror Story The Big Bang Theory Grimm (which already started) Dexter (but I never finished watching the last season) How I Met Your Mother The Walking Dead Weeds (already on) So You Think You Can Dance (already on) Two Broke Girls Smash (I didn't watch the first season, but Jeremy Jordan has a new role in season 2, so I must catch up and watch when it comes back)
New: Animal Practice
Not sure when the next season starts: Girls The Big C Shameless Portlandia
I'm really bummed that Secret Diary of a Call Girl & How to Make it in America got cancelled.

I watched the Animal Practice pilot on hulu last night. It's not bad, I didn't lol at anything but it could get better. Plus there is a god damned monkey.

I'd like to like Animal Practice, but I'm not convinced that the animals on the show will have been treated ethically. (I hope I didn't burst anyone's bubble!)

io9 has verdicts on some of the pilots of new shows, mostly sci-fi. http://io9.com/5925343/which-new-tv-sho ... mpressionsAlso, reading that pointed out to me the reason why MBM is so interested in Revolution. It shares a co-creator with Supernatural. Now I'm expecting shirtless dudes with Batman voices, and dead people who won't stay dead.

Doctor Who. Yayyyyy, it's not too long now before I am rid of Amy Pond smirking and pouting her way through entire episodes.
I'm up to season 4 of Mad Men and waiting to get my hands on Season 5. Oh my goodness, is the writing on that show excellent or what?
I missed Downton Abbey season 2 on TV so I'm looking forward to that as well. And Husband and my father are hooked on Once Upon A Time so I guess I'll be suckered in to that too, soon enough.

I haven't fully decided yet, but here's my tentative list.
Returning shows: Doctor Who (I can somewhat agree that it'd be nice to have a change from Amy, but unfortunately that also means no more Rory.) Parks and Recreation
New: We saw the pilot for Go On, so we might give that a go.
